barrett is too old - we have some young talent in the NRL now and to go back to this squib would be a big error

dont you guys get it though.....a common theme across NRL winning teams is that they all possess these players...team players that lift the team. Manly will be a completely different team in 2009 I guarantee you. The main problem will be discipline on the field, they've lost a lot of experience with Bell and Menzies

Sorry people, I just love this post, now he's giving guarantees. Next week the opinions will come with 6 months interest free.

I reckon if Moffo had $10- to his name, and HAD to pick a side to throw his $10- on to win a comp, as this will be the only cash he makes in 09, he'd throw it on the Mighty Maroon & White !

Moffo's entitled to his own opinions....but nothing is guaranteed, didnt you read the huge thread that redneck Ronny dribbled up about the Eagles being a myth since they lost Monas etc last year?

HAHAHA

The guy is still wiping the sh*t out of his mouth after the Grand Final, you must have more sense then that fool cause for starters your name aint Rockin Ronny hahaha

I suppose we are lucky that the warriors didnt soften us up also. We seemed to come through that game pretty good.

I actually think the broncos choked, they had a golden opportunity to beat the storm but couldnt put it together.

Your team choked.. didn't soften anything up, the storm looked refreshed vs. the sharks.

Its hard to go back to back. You climb the mountain, get knocked down then go back and do it again. Eventually players will to do that little bit extra to win declines. That is why they wont win it, they have had two appearances in a row, they got their revenge, there will be hungrier sides next year.

Two names:

Menzies and Bell

A common theme with most premiership winning teams is that they possess brilliant team players. Guys that bind the team together. They aren't necessarily the best players in the team but they are the glue that binds the individuals together. Melbourne had it with Crocker, Scott Sattler did it with the Tigers and Tonie Carroll for the Broncos

Manly won't have the same look about them next year and they will sorely miss the beaver and bell. I'll do a nude run over the bridge if Manly win the NRL this year

Sattler retired in 04

If one has a real good look at the various playing lists, comings, goings, strengths, etc and the draw for all (in particular who plays who twice, and the level of dificulity of away games - some get a sweet ride others don't) the Eagles become even greater stand outs. $4.50 has been on offer through recent weeks for them to go back to back, my view is it should be around the $3 mark, and within weeks of the season opening you won't get anythink like $4 plus as they lope along their winning way on top of the table. Only key injuries (and they'd need a few) and complancency (which I doubt) will hinder their chances.

And I don't support them, if the truth was know far from it.

Manly have a great chance , when they were on there game even with beaver out they outclassed,
i hate Manly but have to admit it was great to beat Melbourne the dirty tactic team.
Manly will be certain top 4 this year

I think you are under estimating how bad Cronulla were in that game.

Not taking anything away from Manly's GF win, but the NZ & Brisbane games took a lot out of the Storm.

FFS.

4 minutes in. blake green. a rookie guy when greg bird could have been playing. he's looking at cooper cronk. he's still looking. still looking. damn. he's through the line and i havnt moved. cooper runs. kicks the ball.. try..game over man.

and then when we had the ball.

oh man. Gimp. Nutley...Gallen...

it was brutal. disgusting. inept.....a knife right in the groin for the sharks fans.
