How would Cronulla dying help the other clubs? It's not as if Skarks fans would survey the other local team options and suddelny become Dragons or Dogs fans.

Cronulla is a small area. Yet, like Manly, it is segmented from the rest of the populace by water. That combined with the commuter effect - wanting to stay put on the weekend after hours in traffic during the week - will negate any swelling of other teams crowds by the Sharks demise.

Exactly, this goes for all clubs. Just ebcasue you have a salary cap doesnt mean you have to use it all, sure utilise it to become competitive, but you need money to survive
