So if Newcastle hit some financial problems Newcastle fans will bail them out, rather than accept NRL paying some of their yearly payment in advance? Ok please let the NRL know that is the case.

I think to many people are reading way to much into all of this.

What I would say is Cronulla's Board should pull it's finger out and get PKF's audit results and proposals into action rather than talk this crap. Like any business restructuring in tough times is the answer to longevity, not bloody hand outs.

Can we agree on that?

Same here. Hope we never see another Norths or Souths situation again. Give the bunnies fans some credit. They fought for their club to return and they fought tough. So much for the opinions being put forward that when push comes to shove fans wont fight for their club in Sydney. Norths are still trying to get back to the top tier and they will not give up the fight.

Id be happy for NRL put one team in Sydney to play all other non sydney teams and call it ummmm, say....superleague and the NSWRL go back to running our comp. Guaranteed we would have more fans and TV rights in Sydney then the "one sydney team model"

Cronulla need to die. They were playing for a place in the GF last year and couldn't even pack out the game. They're a wart on the nose of the NRL, time to have it burnt off.

A melbourne fan should appreciate that this is even allowed cos i can guarantee you that the storm do a similar thing to avoid salary cap issues. Have a player on a lighter salary at the start and heavy it up at the end when othe rplayers have moved on.

The money cronulla are getting (or have asked for an advance on) is the same money they would have got anyway. 2010 money being asked for was never a question raised, moral of the story believe nothing in the DT.
