Did you watch the fight, did you?

I guess Arce has nothing to offer boxing any more then.
If he stays in the fight game then he's only doing it for -

I dunno.

Props to Darchian. He's proven himself time and time again.
I take my hat off to him.

He should rematch Donaire!
Although he rose in weight, right?

Arrrggghhh there's no glamour left in Boxing.
It's as dull as Tennis and Cricket.
Robotic sh*t all for the money and no glory or honour.

I dunno.

What I'm saying is...there's no peoples champ anymore that we can cling on to for hope and dreams.

I see Calzage hung it...you know what? Good on him. He's gone out a winner and with Taylor winning his last fight he should have stopped there and gone out a champ but with this Mundine fight he'll lose and go out a loser.
Should'a quit while he was ahead.
We'll remember him like Fenech in his last fight, in his heyday, when he got his lip split open and KO'd something severe.

I would love to see Vic get back at Donaire.

Hey Brett, Billy Dib is fighting at cambo cath club against Davey Brown, should be a corker and only a short train ride to boot. Im not sure of the date atm but I think its in March.

I'll pass on the Dib/Brown fight.
Dib will KO Brown quite easy.
No contest.

I'm not booking passage to Campbelltown ever again.

Tonight I'm backing Mundine to KO Taylor in the 3rd and 4th round.
If it goes any longer then try the 8th round.

But I think Taylor only has 4 rounds in him.
It won't go beyond the 5th.

Taylor's last fight he was spent after only 8 or 9 rounds...a fighter of Mundine's calibre won't see him go beyond 5.

Taylor's gonna put his all into the first 2 rounds and I see in the 3rd there'll be action.
The money round is the 3rd for mine.
I'm gonna put $30 on round 3 and $10 on R 4.

The Daily Telegraph didn't publish one iota of this fight in today's paper.

Mundine don't get no respect!

Oh....Mundine is ranked champion right? So how the f*ck did Taylor get a shot at Mundine if he's not up there? Taylor's not ranked is he?

that was one of the worst fights i've ever seen

taylor didn't even attempt to win

mundine had his left eye flare up and taylor kept attacking the body

the best fight the entire night was the second fight where the scaffolder from kingsgrove got smashed

Didn't watch the fight as the Socceroos were on, the highlightes seem to show Taylor do exactly what most thought he would with headbuts and low blows and didn't appear to have ever really got into the fight.

Will be interesting to see his choc gets his shot at the title now..

I saw it.

a couple of low shots...Mundine milked them to the point of cringeworthy.
Headbut yeah ...only after Taylor got so frustrated with Mundine spending the whole night avoiding any sort of rally.

The end was weird...taylor raved on about painting his house pink to thank Mundine for the fight?????

boring...boring ....boring.

I preferred the first fight.
1 bloke 10 fights ...has lost them all by KO....nothing has changed...he got dropped inside the first minute and only lasted till midway thru the 2nd.

that wasn't the first fight ... first fight was a draw ... if the one you're talking about is the pakistani guy getting KO'd then the guys trainer threw the towel in way too early, the guy would have won that round had he not been knocked down ... pretty ordinary finish and he looked really pissed off, rightly too

the last fight on the undercard and the mundine/taylor fight were the worst of the entire evening ... and mundine milked the first low blow something shocking

Simo, my old sparring partner, it's good to be back after an enforced absence and find that you're still hanging about like a Remora...

still feeding off the leftovers of the big sharks, eh!

There's just something about you that brings out the worst in me. I'm normally an amicable and personable human being, but then I read your posts and I find myself with the traits and characteristics of someone with an anti-social personality disorder.

I'm guessing, albeit an educated piece of guesswork, that you've never been near the squared ring in your life. Never laced up the ol' leather have you. Never faced someone who's intent on hurting you for a fee...not that I'm intimating that punching for pay is the sole form of boxing, just that we're discussing a professional fighter of the paid ranks.

Well, if I'm correct, as I'm sure I am, it would probably be best to refrain from 'lol' until you've given it a try. Anyone that has the courage to step inside the ropes deserves respect, regardless of their record...

ever heard of the term 'journeyman', eh!

until next time, toodle-pip

Why hello again Chef, I see you missed me, hope your enforced absense was nothing of the serious nature.

Haha, your posts always give me a laugh, its kind of refreshing to see your dribble again.

You are assuming right, I am no pro or amateur boxer, more of a footy man myself although I did put the gloves on against my brother after we watched Rocky III when we were young.....does that count?

But again you seem to make points out of my posts that I never made. You see I dont recall ever mentioning anything about the courage of people who fight, the balls it would take to jump in and fight someone wanting to punch holes in you.

But however having courage does not equal being good. Any sportsman in the pro arena has records and some are amazing feats, others not so.

You can respect someone for trying, heck maybe more so for people who keep coming back despite copping a beating all the time.

And at the end of the day there will be records that make you think 'maybe this person wasnt good enough to make it in XXXX sport'

Anyways has been fun again, see if you can throw in some cliches and talk about how your the big dog and stuff, ill just keep hanging around feeding off the leftovers.....
