Broncos game

refereeing was pretty bad, but it was bad both ways. Cameron Smith was offside all night, gorrells knock on miss was a huge blunder. hodges was never offside for that intercept, which led to a try for the storm. so even tho the reffing was sh*t, it all evened out in the end. anyways, great close game, glad it finally went our way this time, look forward to our next match up and of course our eventual meeting in the 09 gf.

Smith off side all night ??...stop drinking.

You pricks are hilarious..
Waa waa waa "we got screwed"etc.....you simply werent good enough on the night...
The amount of times other sides get constantly stuffed around by refs, even with this
2-ref system in place. and you bastards (who were a protected species from most officials
up until the NRL cracked down on wrestling) start whingeing & whining over 1 friggin knock-on..
No wonder we got rid of Gorrell... but even still, you couldnt take advantage of that situation...LOL..
Hinchcliff is a gun & if Smith can get over himself, he should move to 5/8 & let this excellent
ex-Raider into your starting team. Deserves his chance.

Yep, it was the worst reffing I've seen in 15 years of watching League. Really disappointing, as the game was great otherwise.

I rarely complain about refs as they've got a hard job, but it was really sad for the sport to have decisions like that mess up a great game.

Bring back the video ref!

The 2-ref system hasn't won me over, or a lot of other people yet either...
Seems to be way more penalties blown over little, nitpicking "offences"more than anything else..
Did think the penalty against Quinn was completely wrong, just looked like an average fend off
on Thaiday for mine...

Blair would've been a better choice at stand off than Inglis Friday night. Blair and Lima played with the ball more than Greg did.
That’s the problem with Greg he doesn't go looking for the ball. Fair enough he was carrying injuries, but Billy picked up a few injuries early in the game but kept on trying, Dallas will play near dead if he had to. I just think Greg can get lazy at times and the extra weight IMO is not helping him. I think he should shave off a couple of kgs.

Folau clearly lost his ball sacks on the way to Brisbane last year. Please he looked like he was going to cry to his mother. Quinn hit him no where near his big head and he tries to milk it.

We looked much better in attack when Hinchcliff came on and Inglis actually did something.

We got screwed by 5 sets of eyes that did not pick up a blatant knock on that my blind great grandmother could see. Regardless of the dubious decisions we didn't play well enough to win the game and that sucked arse.

You are the only person stating otherwise. Did you even watch the game? Gronk.

Worst than Simpkins effort in the great 2006 GF?
The "knock on" occured in the 44th min....you telling me that the storm didnt have any other chances to score in the remaining 36 mins?

That call was one of the worst I've seen, why not just check it upstairs?
In saying that though Storm should have just went on with it and tackled Wallace.
It was a sh*tty call and it came at a crucial time ( like the streaker against Cows) but Broncos were the better team.

Storm defence is spot on but their attack was very average and only coming through Slater and Inglis both of which were wounded men.
Bellamy has some work to do.

how is the 44th min crucial? Is the 58th min crucial too? how about the 12th minute? Or the 1st minute?
The storm had their chances and they didnt take them....blaming the ref is a cop out.

Mr Saab, you have reading difficulties seek an appointment from OPSM - I never blamed the ref but acknowledged sh*tty calls at bad times.
The time was crucial because the Storm had got themselves back into the match and were putting pressure on the Broncos.

It was the 44th Minute!
Sure if it was the match winner in the 78th min i could understand the blow ups, but they still had almost half the match to make a comeback!
Bad times? when is a good time may i ask?

Didn't say it was a match winner either...
It doesn't have to be the 78th minute to be crucial.

Belle, he had more hit-ups/runs then anyone else on the team so are they lazier.

Really? It just seemed like he did nothing. Nothing came out of any of those runs.

No, they werent quality.

This is where Greg is a victim of his gifts, we all expect him to throw 3 people off every carry and average 20/run.
