NSW have the form Backrowers

Creagh, O'Donnell and Gallen.

I think Trent Waterhouse and Frank Pritchard are going great too.

NSW easily have it over QLD in the backrow. We could build 5 backrows that are all stronger or just as strong as the QLD backrow. But we can't come close to building a front row that is half as good as Petero and Price. We have some solid players at club level. But none of them have stepped up and made an impact for NSW.

Hopefully Weyman and Poore can change that.

1) He is not a NSWelshman

2) He is very hot and cold, was MIA against Manly on Saturday night.

ben creagh and luke o'donnell are the best in the game atm for mine.

if your picking a top 5 i think it would be hard to look past gareth ellis. in a pathetic pack of forwards he has been top class. put him in a team with a bit of go forward and he would be unstoppable imo

Tom Learoyd-Lahrs is in better form than anyone else in the game at the moment, in any position.

Creagh is the best. He reminds me of another St. George star, Gorden Tallis in the way he runs and it's refreshing seeing a forward dominate games in his manner.

But the users are right, there have been a number of good backrows this year that come close.

Tom Learoyd-Lahrs
Paul Gallen
Sika Manu
Luke O'Donnell
Trent Waterhouse
Luke Lewis
Michael Crocker

Are all fine examples.

I know he is a kiwi, the thread does not ask about origin players.

When he is hot though, he is the best 2nd rower in the game. I would agree Creagh, O'Donnell and Gallen are more consistant.

I would support TLL being picked in Origin.

ben creagh would have to be the form 2nd rower atm.
can't go past gallen but thats just my sharks goggles telling me that.

what does everyone think of shane rodney?

i always liked him when playing for the panthers but haven't seen much of him with manly until the weekend.

i always thought he was great coming off the bench as an impact player.

Do you think they have owned NSW due to Dallas Johnsons supreme attacking capabilities?

no
Qld could pick 5 blokes out of Qld park footy and they'd still be competitive, its the jersey i tells ya!

but Qld forwards own NSW forwards overall, crocker is a winner

he been very solid for manly, i'm confident in him doing his role well each week for the team.
apparently he can kick goals too!

Probably Creagh/O'Donnell would be the best combination to give a balance of defence and attack. Both very good players.

Hit the nail on the head mate.

NSW can't decide on halves either - and our best 3 fullbacks are all out of commission. It's a cruel game at times innit?

The 'older'. Second rowers in andrew Ryan, nathan hindmarsh and even craig fitzgibbon they all have been though it and know what it takes to compete in the worlds elite footy competition but on current form creagh is also a great player
