The point is people pointing out Soward is brain dead for diving, biting or kicking to the head is FACT not jealousy. I'd love to have him at Newcastle but it doesn't make any of the above any less true.

If you had Soward at the Knights you would have two players that have beeen owned by Inglis (Gidley). Why not go for the trifecta and offer the wolfman a contract........

No I haven't missed the point. I'm just pissed at every fan of other clubs taking cheap shots at soward. So when I saw Gidley in your sig, I couldn't resist pointing out what the Rugby League "click" tried to ignore....that Gidley's miss on Inglis was worse than Soward's, yet no one (especially Joey) ever wants to mention it. The fact that Gidley's was in a far more important game, makes it even worse.

Gidley should not have been in the run on team. He should definitely have not been captain and he should not have been the goal kicker. That was just the pro-newcastle crap that was determined to give the knights the honor of providing the last 3 captains. I have no problems with people going on about Soward's miss on Inglis in Round 1, but if you do, please be fair and mention that Gidlkey and Orford and Williams and at leats 1 player each time Inglis takes the field is also a victim of Inglis........In saying all this, I rate Gidley very highly and enjoy his absolute committment to everything he does. But the point is, he should not have been captain, fullback or goalkicker. His rightful spot during the series was on the bench..............Joey had a lot of influence on the makeup of our NSW team this year......Too much......

So no I haven't missed the point. I just made mine and moved onto another point........this Soward jealousy crap just sh*ts me. Why can't people just admit he is killing it this year, sit back and enjoy his skills without prejudice and as a Rugby League supporter.

I love watching the Thurstan's, Inglis' Sowards, Stewarts of the NRL world. These forums are just a way for petty fans to give it to players who they wish played in their team

LOL thats exactly what i thought. smith and cronk throw more forward passes in one game then most teams do in an entire season.

personally i thought sowards second cut out to dell was a mile forward, however considering it was against melbourne, i was happy to let it slide.

Soward has been on fire this year and I would love to have him in that form at Cronulla - but there is no denying his lashing out with his foot was nothing short of disgraceful...

Sorry, his little bitching after the decision was more disgraceful.

Dragon fans, winning and still finding a way to whinge and argue. Sowards a grub, get over it who cares, he is a good player but what people have pointed out has happened and if it were against your team you guys will be screaming murder

I reckon he was probably trying to throw his body in front of inglis but at the same time the end result was a pretty stupid kick like motion that probably made contact with the torso.
I wouldn't be upset if he was suspended for two weeks but I wouldn't be surprised if he got off scot-free given the inconsistent precedents we have seen. I also wouldn't be surprised if Ryles was given two weeks for it either.
