Poore we were expecting, and he was probably a candidate for a rest. Scott and Prior is a surprise and yeah, I don't recall the incident at all. The sh*t thing is they have both come back from long breaks and were just hitting top form.

Oh well, welcome back Stanley, Green and I'm guessing Emmett. I don't think Florence is back yet, his hand seemed very dusty at the Fan Day

Beau Scott replaced by Stanley. Canberra only have young Crocker outside and isnt a big handful for Stanley, Dell and Soward in defence. Matt Prior replaced by Costigan and Smith back in starting Lock. Poore replaced by Dan Hunt OR John Green..

I would have:
1. Darius Boyd
2. Brett Morris
3. Chase Stanley
4. Matt Cooper
5. Wendell Sailor
6. Jamie Soward
7. Ben Hornby
8. Dan Hunt/John Green
9. Dean Young
10. Michael Weyman
11. Neville Costigan
12. Ben Creagh
13. Jeremy Smith

14. Nathan Fien, 15. Nick Emmett, 16. Jarrod Saffy, 17. John Green/Dan Hunt

The article states that Prior & Scott will get 1 week if they fight the charge or plead guilty, therefore, I think we should fight all 3 charges.

Nothing to loose other than an extra week out for Poore.

depends on carryover points.

eg, it was said in another thread if scott takes the early guilty plea he gets 1 week and is left with like 12 points and if he fights and loses he still gets a week but has 50 carry over points.

seriously i just watched the tackle and fk me if the judiciary are purely trying to strip our roster by giving Prior and Scott a charge. Scott had one leg and went to drive then obviously realised the situation and then stopped and let go. Prior at worst was headed for a headslam but realised his grip and the tackle was fine? BTW Poore was a text book tackle on Elford, just a shame he is light and fast which is purely why he ended up in that position. It used to be all about first an actual spear tackle where the players head was driven into the ground, definitely worthy of suspension. This was then taken into having one arm between the legs and lifting. This then evolved into cant put a player into a position past a horizontal. Poore's technique was fine but when the winger has sideways momentum and fights to push forward and land on his stomach thats going to happen. It was Poore's weight landing on his head that injured him not the tackle. What a joke the judiciary has become

Scott cant have that many carry over points. He took the plea last time with the feet first so he could get some time off for surgery!

And it is perfectly OK to flop onto the face of a player you have just spear tackled, putting him out of the game?

Poore has got off lightly, and I'm sure will take the guilty plea.

lol Flop onto the face. It was a strong tackle, Elford went looking for the ground and twisted himself into harm's way, putting himself out of the game. Reminded me of Waterhouse poking his own eye. Self inflicted

what are you smoking, Elford should be charged for putting himself into that position, as i said he twisted his body to try and land on his stomach which resulted in that happening. if he doesnt twist then Poore's weight doesnt land on his head. You make it sound like Poore dumped him on the ground then head hunted him which isnt the case. Again your delusional if you constitute that as a spear tackle.

thats a spear tackle...

Elford was already stupified, I've never seen a bloke get that beaten up after 10 minutes of a game, everytime he touched the ball he came to grief. He did find time to unload a huge coathanger on Cooper before he ran into Poore.
