No 3/4 is worth more than 350k. Jennings is special but with the current Salary cap he is not worth more than 350k. If the cap was 6 million then he would be worth 600k etc etc.

Jarryd will stay for less because he is loyal and because he is going to be playing with his mates Inu, Mateo etc. Needless to say Tahu is coming back and this would be even a greater factor is Jarryd staying and few other players staying as well.

I would be happy if Parra offered Jarryd 425-450k per year. And if he can get 3rd party deals then hell yeah. Players in the AFL and A-League earn much much more than League players. John Aloisi Earns a million a year. Some of the AFL players are on 500-650k a year.

He wont get that from the club. maybe $350-400k the rest if any 3rd party sponsorship. Basically he will just take Petero's money as he is off contract next year and prob retire.

We have money for 2011 next year Sammut, Gordon, Tighe ($200k), Woolnough ($200k) neither will get that if they are re-signed again, Cooper, Petero all off contract. Also we will be way under next year with who we lost and haven't replaced

That's a good point actually. It's even worth a couple of mid range players, or the top up of a number of juniors.

Managers are necessary evils. Players would be unable to deal with contracts (especially when it branches out to third parties) and the distraction could affect performance. A lack of managers could increase tension between player and Club during the negotiation period etc.

Yes, managers have what appears to be a prominent dark side but this is just something we have to deal with.

I'm sure Clubs don't take it out on players when their managers are...let's say aggressive...just as I'm sure players don't take it out on Clubs who are pushing hard. Because they're distanced from the situation.
