.... not gonna lie here, you lost a bit of credibility when you said there will be a new team enter the NRL in 2010.

Apart from Finch's money who else are the Eels losing to fund the pick up of these 3 blokes?

Denis Fitzgerald had a bad habit of over priced players. The Eels have a huge amount of funds apparently.

On paper yes but with the new season we start a fresh. Manly probably thought the same thing last season with the gaining of Bailey, ended up being a very bumpy season.

I remember reading a while ago that Parra were nowhere near using the full extent of the salary cap. Cant remember where though...

There was also an article saying that Parra had no room in the salary cap, then we signed Poore, Shack and Tahu. Go figure.

Parra arent losing anyone for next year apparently, but 2011 we could lose a few.

As insane as it sounds, Finch's money accounts for Poore...what a f**k up he was. Also, Hindy restructured his deal when he signed his extension, which frees up a bit, as does the loss of some players. Tahu has a back ended deal with some third party arrangements, he is literally on 80k next year or something silly....

2011 we may lose a couple of guys, but most should re-sign if we want them...the good thing about having them off contract is that it gives us a fair kitty to re-sign them with...

From the first post, I have been saying to my mates (especially one big parra fan) that Parra will be a force next year since June, when they did the purging of the club.

Getting rid of the emperor and refreshing the staff/players has turned that club around massively. I just thought it would take an off season and a few good signings to see it, really didn't expect them to salvage this season. Well done Parra and watch out for them next year...

My top 4 2010: Parramatta, New Zealand, Melbourne, St George Illawarra
Bottom 4 2010: South Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Canterbury
