I hate Melbourne. Ended our season the last 3 years. Bandwagon teams are always better premiers anyway, cause they always end up winning by some entertaining footy (e.g Tigers). I feel sorry for Slater though, he plays normal footy each week, 7 tries in 2 games, shreds teams up and Jarryd Hayne scores a few flash tries and all of a sudden his position as Australian Fullback is being questioned.

I want a game deserving of a GF....that means a hard earned, knock them out thrilling end to the year. If that means a Melbourne victory then so be it. You forget the fact Slater was sh*thouse for most of the season. He has only really turned it back on in the last month (not really a bad thing to be doing, mind you). The simple fact is, however, Slater as incumbent and now in white hot form will be fullback, and Hayne will be on the wing, and they will both tear whoever comes up against them a new arsehole, along with Inglis in the centres.

What a dump merkin this Engine is. How can one choke if nobody is giving you half a chance to win? Indeed, if Melbourne lose - they'd have to get the biggest choke tag for 1 from 4.

But win, lose or draw - lets hope this is a great GF. We haven't had a real good one for some time.
