Just having a quick look on the Lebanon RL site, it looks like there are four more teams that are joining the competition; Tripoli City RLFC, AUST Falcons, (Though, could this be an Australian based team?) UOB Razorbacks & Wolves RLFC, though it does look like Balamand are no longer listed, so it brings the total number of clubs to eight (Up from five).

I can answer a few things.

UOB Is University of Ballamand so no change there.

As for the Robinsons you can't be more wrong. I didn't know who the Robinsons were, and made some enquiries after I heard how well they went. It turns out their dad actually lives in Lebanon, and met them at the airport, and it was the first time they had seen each other for ages.
I didn't realise being someones cousin (even Mundines) made it impossible to be Lebanese?

Didn't AUST go on a tour to Serbia a while ago? I'm not sure. I remember pictures somewhere of snowbound RL!

Yes, these days they were pretty poor, Dorcol's B team beat them heavily. I assume they'll have tough times during first few seasons. The question is who coach them and what kind of players study on that uni.

Maybe in 5 years Italy will be at Lebanon's level.

Would the scoreline be different is thee following players were included in the Italian line up??

Anthony Minichiello - Rooster
Paul Franze - ESL
Chris Nero - ESL
Terry Campese -Raider
Grant Rovelli - Cowboy
Anthony Laffranchi - Titan
Mark Minichiello - Titan
Cameron Ciraldo - Knight
Rocky Trimarchi - Tiger

& ex League players who play union

Craig Gower - FRU
Luke Mc Clean - FRU
Matt Carozza - NSW tah

That also goes for the Mannah Brothers & the Great Robbie Farrah for the lebanese team

In my view to make the sport strong in that country you will need to field the best side you can get.

Every other team uses the heritage rule I can't see why Italy doesn't.

As for the Union Boys show them the money & they will come over in a heart beat.

There were several heritage players who put their hand up for Italy but apparently didn't show up. There was also the Med Cup being played in Sydney at the same time which split the heritage players loyalties. Unfortunately for Italy they weren't due to be playing in the EC and only filled in after the Russians pulled out. That meant the Med Cup was already arranged for the same time and took a fair few players out of the Italian EC squad.
