Anyone know what his marquee status is? He was the marquee, then loaned out to the chinese side, Vignarolli comes on board as marquee in his absence.....and now Griffiths is back, presumably on the same deal he was on before?

Vignarolli somehow qualified as a marquee....that still baffles me.

Joel is only available for 4 games this season, and that's if his suspension is reduced that he received from sticking his fingers up at the Chinese, as he can only rejoin the Jets in the January transfer window for A-League clubs.

therefore he surrendered his marquee status and contract when he took up the Chinese loan deal, presumably as the Chinses paid him far more than what he would have as a marquee player here.
