Of all the players in the 16 NRL squads then the lowers tiers such as NSW Cup and Bundy Cup..

Paul Gallen takes a leak against a wall..

Rest of the public. Same public that'll get up sometime this morning and read the papers..

http://www.smh.com.au/national/police-disgusted-at-violence-levels-20091213-kpxd.html

Rugby League is on a hiding to nothing..Rugby League is targeted by a massively hypocritical media..Have a look at most biographies of media personalities about the 'golden days' of journalism for behavourial standards..

Yet a player that has had a few beers and suddenly needs a pee and he's up there with Neddy Smith for public atrocities..

FFS it doesn't matter what Gallop and Co do..League will always be the target for the brain dead hypocritical public as the cause of all of societies ills..

In a way its good.....if our product wasnt as succesful as it is, then no one would give a flying f**k, as is the case where that onion player robbed a house....a victim of its own success to an extent.
Unfortunately, many of the games staff arent none too bright

If the police have caught this many crimes in a "crackdown" weekend, makes you wonder why they aren't doing this every weekend?

Because it cost governments too much money to do this all the time, it makes a good one off newspaper hit for a week and then it stays in the publics memory for a while.. Lock someone up and it costs the portfolio in Overtime, Prosecutors, Courts, DPP or Legal Aid solicitors, sometimes interpreters, not to mention the amount of trees that need to be chopped for one brief of evidence... the costs go on and on. Instead a government can roll out a few highway dudes on a so called black spot zone actually raises revenues.

My memory is not as good as it should be which doesnt help when getting into arguments with workmates who support AFL and RU.... But if I remember right, all codes have had their share of idiots behaving badly this year. Has anyone come up with a list for each code. I will just start off the ones I remember.

RL
Fittler - Drunk in a hotel
Bird - Glassing (this may have to be crossed out)
Jake Friend - DUI
Nate Myles - Crapped in the hallway

AFL
30 players found guilty of drug use (1st or second offence, so nothing done)
???

RU
Player (break and enter)
???

I did warn that my memeory wasnt too good

Same thing happens every year in the AFL. There are so many blokes getting away with using drugs in that game it's not funny and it's all to do with their piss-weak policies.

For more AFL atrocities head to TFC and check out the Culture to despise thread.

rugby league is targeted because rugby league is POPULAR. just like the most famous celebrities get talked about the most in the tabloids.

no one gives a crap about what union players do for a reason

People give a crap about rugby players...but only when they're ex-leaguies!

Well done Ch 7 for leading their news with the JAKE FRIEND and Paul Gallen SCANDALS along with the Home and Away clown caught with drugs.

Obviously more important than trying to catch that disgusting prick who kissed a kid in McDonalds.

so 7 tried to hide their drug culture by mixing it in with Rugby League?

Instead of sulking and blaming the FTA news channels and papers, why don't we all stop trying to bleat about a battle we can not win. League supporters whinging about not getting fair coverage isn't going to help the bias that is against our game. Our game like it or not is seen to be played by boofheads and is easy coverage for any pointscoring half baked lazy journalist looking for a break when no one is starting a catastrophic bushfire..

Yeah, arguably 90% of Aussie blokes at some time or another have p!ssed it up against a wall or a tree following a big night on the scoops. Simple fact is no one gives a toss reading about you, me or Joey Bloggs relieving ourselves on the King Street Wharfe curtains.

However, when a current NRL club captain or big name player has a wee wee in a heavily trafficked public late night entertainment zone in the apex of Sydney-town, in the view of COPS who happen to be on a Government Campaigned, media worshipping, happy tambourine clapper ZERO TOLERANCE WEEKEND. Well Paul Gallen has obviously missed the news flash, the one that had the assistant commisioners pre ZERO-BASH noise, and the one containing the standard jingoistic political speakfest by our overpaid fat cat point scoring state bureaucrats.

The facts are that maybe Kevin SHEEDY would have got away with this because no one in Sydney really knows "hey that's him taking the p!ss". Just like no one knows the philanderer on Smith Street but the tabloids can't get enough of Gatorade Tiger. Paul Gallen should have known much much better, what he did, for a person of his stature who represents our game where ever he walks was asking for bad press and seriously so should us fans, we have nothing to complain about... these are the new cards life is dealing. Longing for the old lost days of yore ain't going to hold back the tide of scandal.

Suck it up folks.
