Well we have a biggest improver thread so I thought I would make a biggest disappointed thread.

Which player(s), if any, do you thin will disappoint in 2010?

I hate to criticise our players based on a feeling but...

Honestly, I just have this feeling that Ben Hunt and Antonio Winterstein are going to go backwards.

I'm starting to think Ben Hunt won't be able to take the step needed to impress in first grade, and I was his biggest supporter in '08 and '09. I think Winterstein will have a dodgy year as well, but still has the potential to be an elite winger. But yes, I won't be surprised to see Denan Kemp on the Wing if Lockyer does indeed go to Fullback.

Israel Folau. Wasn't overly impressed with his contribution this season for the money he is supposedly on. Think by the end of next season he will be shown as just a one trick pony.

I can see Hunt signing for the Cowboys and replacing Thurston.

Peter Wallace! The pressure of 2 young guns in Smith and Hunt in the squad will get to him and he will flee to Sydney.

I thought Ben Hunt was a big disappointment in 2009. Surely the expectations on him are lower now. Agree with you on Winterstein, Yow Yeh and Kemp could really show him up.

But I think the biggest disappointment will be Guy Williams. He seems a bit overrated by some.

Guy Williams has spent most of his career in Qld Cup. I have no idea how you can say he is overrated when I think that pretty much sums it up.

I think you guys are being a bit harsh on Hunt he had a couple of games in a depleted side with no fowards gaining meters for him and no backs (or forwards for that matter) running in support. He is ar year older and will be ready when an oppurtunity arises. IMO he is still next in line under Wallace.

Sorry, by overrated I mean that some people on this forum have talked him up a bit too much imo. I don't doubt he is a hard worker, but I don't think he is that special like some have predicted he will be. I hope he proves me wrong!

When I said Ben Hunt was a disappointment this year I wasn't referring to the NRL games he played. I was referring to his under 20's form, in that he wasn't setting the world on fire like he did in 2008. In the games I saw him play in the under 20's and from others have said Corey Norman was far more dangerous.

I agree with you about this thread to some extent. But I don't think we are willing players to fail. We are just suggesting who might fail, but we dont ACTUALLY want them to fail! In fact, I hope everyone has their best season ever so we can win the comp .

I hope I'm wrong but I believe young Hoffman. Winterstein is a classy finisher and will be fine.

Would anyone dare suggest Darren Lockyer as a potential disappointment this year. I think disappointment would be the wrong word to use ... probably, not as influential would be more to the point.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Kemp yet. His stint at the Warriors was unimpressive to say the least.

Kemp was brilliant in 2008 - but how much of that was set up by Lockyer? All Kemp had to do was sprint to the tryline, there was no one in front of him. I know he really didn't suit the Warriors game plan at all, and played outside some really mediocre halves, but really, is he THAT good?

I reckon he'll succumb to second year syndrome bigtime (2009 doesn't count, he didn't play a lot of firstgrade, and when he did he hardly saw the ball.)

The tries against the Roosters, storm and your mob he beats multiply players to score.

But in saying that he did just have fall over the line to score some.

Watch for around 5:47 that what I expect with Kemp at fullback if picked there (Slate like).

I guess because of the way last year turned out for him not much is expected from him.
