wet outfield delaying play, England won the toss and elected to field

South Africa team
GC Smith*, AG Prince, HM Amla, JH Kallis, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, MV Boucher†, M Morkel, PL Harris, DW Steyn, F de Wet

England team
AJ Strauss*, AN Cook, IJL Trott, KP Pietersen, PD Collingwood, IR Bell, MJ Prior†, SCJ Broad, GP Swann, JM Anderson, G Onions

Ntini dropped, interesting. Wonder if there will be any backlash over this (the black/white quota thing). Though I think his form has been poor and deserved to be dropped. Is Botha allowed to play tests?

There should be more of these type of decks in 20/20 I reckon, just for variety

KAllis is a living legend of our game

there is real question marks over a few of these Seffers though, notably Prince and Duminy. I also feel like the end is near for Boucher, I don't think he'll ever be given the chop, but I sense he is nearing the end of his career, at least in test cricket ...

remarkably similar to the SCG today, but not as bad... maybe 60 to 70% of what the SCG was doing...
and there's Kallis's half century:clap:
Sh*t a few bowler friendly pitches for once. Jacques could join the list of 2 with a good score here and I will never doubt the great genius sex bomb again :D

Very batsman friendly conditions overhead though after lunch as all the cloud disappeared during the break, add in the ball getting older and its probably alot easier for batting now than the SCG ever was, probably only about 50% as tough as the SCG was but getting better alot quicker

I can't believe you ever doubted him in the first place, I thought you were the president of his fanclub ... but you just continue to disappoint Monkey ...:(

Well I do know that he does read these forums and I thought that a few stern words would inspire him on to bigger and better things :)
