The question again is, why is ir that the Bulldogs don't have salary cap issues, they have mroe Sate of Origin players and Internationals than say Parra, and just seem to have room.

Bred not bought? it is perhaps good admin as they push up the price for players to stay with their own club, and they come on here wondering why most of the NRL fans believe they are grubs.

That said it is obvious they are trying to get the club into a bidding war to keep the likes of Mateo, Mortimer, Keating, Inu and whoever else we have off contract. We will lose somone, it is inevitable but the Dogs are trying to make tht task a little harder overall.

Their main target IMO is Mateo. They lack creativity in their pack of workers particularly now that Eastwood has left.

I do how ever think its a bit harsh considering they lost
thurston-anasta-price-asotasi-mason-myles-matua.I mean you cant loose players of that calibre and hope another crop of juniors will be coming thru of that class.If they didnt buy then they would be crap for 4 yrs.I mean if parra lost all there guys id want them to buy too???? otherwise we would question management-And we shouldt of signed Poore and tahu so cant wynge!!!

We may have signed a few players, but the majority of our side were Parra juniors. The Dogs have less than a handful.

Agreed. It is every other clubs best interest to make their competitors pay as much as possible.

IMO Greenberg is being shrewd here in that he knows he wants one of Mateo, Mortimer, Keating or even Inu. The best way of getting at least one of them is to drive up the prices of the others. That's the only way to ensure we cant keep them all under the cap. He is a good operator.

I agree most of them made their names with Dogs, but none the less , they were not brought up through the Canterbury juniors .
Of our lot that have found a space on their "spreadsheet"
KK , Inu ,Mateo - ALL Parra juniors.
Mortz- concede he is more a Bulldog breed than Parra , but even then , his dad and uncles were brought up in Wagga and he himself in Orange.

that is exactly waht's happening and it's reiterated to me by a journo who is adamant that their main target is Mateo..The dogs will no longer have any cap problems whilst they're beeing sweetned with fluffy stories by news limited..

Ah...reality check dude. They lost those players because they got busted rorting the salary cap, remember? Otherwise they wouldn't have had all of them in the first place. But they NRL in its pathetic wisdom allowed them to hold on to all of them till they won a premiership anyway. What a joke. :crazy:
