Kemp just needs to be in the top team he is too good to be wasted in QLD cup. Looks like Corey Norman mayb be our fullback in round 1. I 'd prefer him to Hoffman but we will wait and see. Michaels is a long way of earning his spot back IMO.

Norman has only played two trials and from what I've heard he spent the majority of time playing at five eigth.

I'd rather see how the team plays during the first few rounds before I pass any judgement.

Yeah your right Hoffman may turn out to be a world beater and if he does good on the Broncos and good on him. From what I have seen of Hoffman I don;t rate him if he proves me wrong then good luck to him.

Hoffman hasn't been outstanding in his few first grade appearances, but let's not forget he played in beaten teams ... when the team was going through a 'slump' last year.

He's in favour with the brains-trust at the Broncos ... so that judgement must be based on something.

What about all of the NYC when his best games were in the halves. Still needs to bulk up more.

Its called favourites we all know it happens. I think Beale would be a much better fullback option out of anyone at the Broncos at the moment. He was outstanding on debut vs Manly last season.

What about them?

What are you trying to say?

Someone said Norman may be fullback Round 1. You said he's only played two trials. For a start, everyone bar Lockyer/Wallace etc has played two trials. I then went on to say he plays best in the halves as shown in the NYC. However, he also played fullback at some stages in the NYC so theres more to rely on how he plays there than just the trials.

Yes, he's only played two trials at fullback.

Did he? I don't recall ever seeing him play fullback in the NYC. Was it when Griffen treated his selection process for the fullback spot like a game of musical chairs?

I thought Norman started the NYC year at fullback and didn't exactly impress so they went to Murphy. So I guess the big surprise is how well is he going at fullback now. But as others have said the good things he is doing is when he is up in the line as a 5-8. I don't think he had to diffuse too many bombs or anything like that at the trial game.

Based on old 20's threads you appear to be correct. Gagai started and played there a few weeks. Then it was Copely for a bit, back to Gagai, then to Murphy. Not sure why I thought Norman was fullback...

I never saw him there at any of the home games.

And I bet Beads6 didn't either, which is the point I was making. How can somebody judge a player is superior to another when they haven't seen this other player play before?
