The Bears have made him their main target. Why didn't the Eeeels sign him for a longer period? What will happen in 2013 when he is just hitting his straps.
What about Wehbe...I hear the Dogs are after him? He is a talent...Worry worry worry

You`re right, Pete. This is terrible news! Just terrible!

Don't underestimate the manager of these players, it is all about dlrs sometimes, not necessarily where the player wants to be . They then talk up the opportunities etc and earn more commisssion, bit of a jaundiced view, but I don't think it is too far from reality.
By the way , the Dogs best player in Ball is a Parra junior they got this year(McCallum) bred not bought is a catch phrase not something they live by.

Yes, im worried that either Mateo or Keating will have to go. In saying that, I think we wont offer INU another contract for 2011 the way hes going. Should free up some money.

I think the club will re-sign Mateo, Keating and Inu.

Cayless and Groth won't be resigned.

To me thats another 650 k parramtta can spend on Mateo, Keating and Inu.

be interesting to see if the reported $500k (if true) includes the third year option and how much is actually counted as cap space (and how much is 3rd party). if it does include the third year option then $165k is probably closer to mortimer's worth at this point in time. if he continues to improve then i'd say in a couple of years he'd be asking for an upgrade.

if the rlw blurb from last week is right we should be close to re-signing inu on a bit less. hopefully mateo and keating fit into osborne's statement of being confident that we'll keep everyone we want to keep.

....and just saw kevin moore on foxsports talking about mortimer staying with us. basically said mortimer was a loyal bloke which helped him make his decision to stay and that there should be more like him in the nrl.

hopefully he has passed on that little nugget of info to kk and mateo while the dogs have been negotiating with them. that would be incredibly swell of him.

If true, 500k over two years is too much especially if staggers hints are right and we lose kk or alfred mateo_One querry i do have is why is there no mention of what soward was signed for? yet there is for our signing of morts

Isn't it ironic. If all the players in the NRL were that loyal then the Bulldogs would be fielding a 5 man team every week.

I don't think it leaves us with a great deal of change if "reportadly" Tahu, Hindy and Hayne are on bigger contracts than what they're currently on.

Hindmarsh took a paycut to stay. I remember reading about it.

KK and Mateo will stay. Cayless, Gothe or Inu will retire/leave. That's my feeling. When you look at our roster its scary how good we can be if we stay fit and focused.

The players know this and that is why I think they will take less money and stay.

I dont think Inu will leave, he is the sort of person that will be like Luke Burt, as long as he is made an offer , he will stay. He is more blue and gold than we think.

As I posted before , don't believe the stories you read on players contracts, with some experience I can sugggest they are normally a minimum oif 30%/40% 0vertated.

as mentioned its got to be for three years. $170000 per year sounds more like it. I'm over the moon with the news. Tough little bugger whom knows how score a try.
