Ryan Phelan is a bit of a let down, the show has lost a little something without NRL On FOX original Warren Smith. It's a shame the brainstrust at FOXSPORTS have gone down this avenue as Smith was in many ways the glue that held this show together.

I chose to write to FOXSPORTS to express my dissatisfaction, I implore others to do the same:

I am not sure who made the decision, I am not sure as to why, but reinstate Warren Smith as the host of NRL On Fox. Please.

Ryan Phelan is an assett to the station, though it's not in this role hosting NRL On Fox, the role Warren Smith made his own. Warren Smith was the glue that held this show together. Whilst Phelan won't lose you numbers (I mean, you guys are the only station doing our game justice), it will annoy a majority who are use to having Wazza in our lounge rooms on Wednesday nights when the NRL Season is on. It's the Richie Benaud effect - what's a cricket season minus Richie? Well, in a short time, you feel Warren Smith was getting somewhere near that for the average fan.

I love your station, I love what you provide us in terms of viewing, I believe however you have got this change wrong.

Hey guys, I'm just wondering why you dislike Phelan? I don't think I've ever really seen him much before tonight, but I thought he was pretty good.

I found him much better than Smith (whose pompous self-righteous rants I used to find very frustrating - reminded me of Hadley)

The major turn-off for me is Sailor. I'm over the jokes about how great he is. It was funny at first, but its a bit old and painful for my tastes.

I think Sailor should be swapped spots for Daley. Laureys opinions are worth listening too.
Phelans ok, but Wozza and Wiz on the same panel kept it alive for me. I'll watch every week anyway lol

They all hate him because he is supposedly a greater AFL fan than he is a NRL fan. I think he is better than Smith too, but both seem more interested in Fox Sports than the actual game. The show is not very good anyways, I actually (surprisingly) like watching Monday Nights better, but the Sunday Roast is the only one I really like to watch.

Wendal.. Stop with the rubbish jokes.. just let him comment his thoughts.. and move on.. I hate it when they get held up on rubbish.

Loz and Freeman = decent comments from the both of them.. and thats what we like.

Phelan.. he was ok for mine without being great..

I dislike him because he is a f**kwit of the highest order who knows f**k all about Rugby League, especially compared to Warren Smith.

He is a giggling girl, nothing more, nothing less.

I agree on Sailor, I thought he'd bring something to the show but sadly he was that poor it seems he is best served on the Channel 9 swill machine.

Wendell needs to rack off bring back Alexander and you have a great mix for the show.

I will be emailing Fox Sports to congratulate them in removing Warren Smith.

I agree with you regarding Warren Smith. He should still be the host.

But, I did enjoy the show. I enjoy Phelan as host, just not as much as Wazza. Look like being another good, strong year from Fox Sports in terms of League coverage and quality.

One of the things that I loved with Warren Smith there was the banter/conflict between the panel and they have lost that with Phelan as the host. Dell was great too. He mixes humour with his opinion which makes it more interesting.

I prefer Phelan, the show was much smoother and there was more talk/opinion.

Warren Smith dribbled too much crap and the conflict/banter stuff was annoying, half the show used be like Hadley's crap where they'd just take the piss out of each other. Tonight it was more footy less nonsense.

Daley is a waste of space, the guy is a moron, he is the epitome of Captain Obvious.
Freeman was ok.
Sailor would be good but needs to tone down the self loving a bit, as someone said earlier it used to be funny but it's now getting sad, and annoying. When he talks seriously he is actually better than the other panel members.

My panel would be - Phelan with Brandy, Sailor and Freeman.
