Ahem...

Using one game as an example.

You're a fruitloop.

:)

Some top finishes.

A top team ripping through Arsenal eh? Who'd of thought that this seson.

Still when the team is built around you and on top giving you one on ones against the keeper and with a back four going walkabout, good finishes is all you need.

Rooney would of got 8? Nah he would of done Arsenal at there place instead like he did a few weeks ago... :)

Messi is a good player. Rooney is the best.

Fruitloop. ;-) :D

Just so all those who have commented in this thread can see what little idea you have:

Messi has some silky skills but he can't take a game by the scruff of the neck

Carry on.

messi won't know what hit him when he faces inter in the semis. materazzi's been preparing yo momma jokes for this very occasion. and if that doesn't work, one of our fans will probably throw a flare at the back of his head. cordoba might even try to kick the sh*t out of him. i can't see messi getting out of the san siro alive

hmmm good points made there, half. However, is Messi firey enough to respond to Marco "Wilmer Valderrama" Matterazzi?

Posting "" doesn't show your clever. It shows you just repeat what someone on the telly tells you and don't really have a clue. So when someone offers a different opinion you go back to form and chuckle to yourself.

Fruitloop.

A boring fruitloop at that.

I don't need to say anything else really, I've made my point. Actually you've made it for me, but anyway...carry on.

Messi could score 5 goals like the one he scored against Getafe and Wireman will still say he's not the best because he has a team built around him. I mean if the team is built around him how good must he be considering the team has won basically every trophy in the past 18 months

My view on Messi vs Rooney is that Sir Alex should be mortgaging his (no doubt expensive) house, selling his (no doubt expensive) car, and instructing all his players to do the same, and punting as many players as necessary to put a Real Madrid-style "we'll keep offering more money until you say yes" transfer bid to Barca for Messi's services. The 58 mil left over from the Ronaldo sale would be a useful starting point. :D

What I found interesting was that Messi played centrally yesterday, instead of his usual spot wide right.

Not sure if Messi's like Ronaldo. I don't know if he'll sell his soul to the red devil!

I don't see a whole lot of Spanish football but everytime I do watch Messi he is breathtaking. I remember a goal last season where he might of beat half the team from wide out starting near halfway, unreal. I was a bit sceptical after he was totally ineffective in both legs against Chelsea in the semi final, however his individual brilliance has been consistent over a few years now and just seems to get better.
