At least 8 teams have come out and admitted they can afford to pay more including your own club. Only a braindead fool would run a comptetion to protect the worse teams.
Um, if you don't protect the worse (off financial) teams, then your competition shrinks. This would have massive impacts on the broadcasting deals (less games per week) and hence the money that goes a long way to funding our clubs to get close to the existing cap.
Just because 8 teams can afford more than the current cap, doesn't mean they start doing that and systematically rorting the rules. Only one of these eight teams has currently been found to have done that... and that's the Melbourne Illegals.
Where does this equalising funding for the other 8 teams come from? :lol:. The salary cap's not there to piss people off, it's there for a very good reason.
