Not surprised that this loser was in the box saterday night raiders v storm. Two decisions that were clearly wrong within 10 minutes changed the game . Inglis was 5 meters downtown for his second try and Dugan did not drop the ball for his try .
Somehow Cooley got both wrong and he has form over the years for real howlers

Should have been fired after not knowing what a knock on was in Origin 3 2006.

Inglis was line ball. It was the commentators that made it sound like he was offside. Dugan knocked the ball on - I thought it was pretty clear.

Canberra just can't beat the Storm...even when the Storm have nothing to play for.

In front of play the ball and kicker - offside

Dugan loses the ball into the hand of Slater - No Try

Slater tries to knock out ball Dugan regathers before it hits ground . Cooley looked at 4 or 5 replays BOTD at worst

The inglis try is one of those 50/50s, he wasnt within 10 metres that I could see when finch Vidot dropped it, but he was infront of the kicker, how does it work?

As for the Dugan one...:lol: @ those trying to say dugan knocked it on, it was clear for all and sundry that slater played at it and knocked it loose, and even then, dugan didnt knock it on...

The inglis one by the way you have put it (btw I didn't see the game unfortunately) is if he was in front of the kicker but not within the 10m once vidot dropped it you are back onside. So in otherwords if you are offside but not encroached on the 10m if the guy attempting to catch the ball has played at it, so in this case dropped it, you are then allowed inside the 10m.

By my calculations Inglis was at least 12 metres away from the ball when Vidot first touched it, so I can't see a problem there. At worst it was BOTD try.

i thought this is where the downtown rule came into effect
by trundling down town Inglis should have been penalised if i understand the intrepration of the rule right... which granted i may not

as for Dugan, that was a clear cut try, no doubt about it. BOTD at the very least. Potential game changing calls... but we didnt deserve to win dropping that much footy

However in the course of the year, plenty of teams play terrible footy and some how end up with a W, look at the roosters last week. We were denied an oppertunity to win ugly. Would we have deserved to win? No but we were denied the chance to win despite poor play but inept refereeing.

We arent the first this year and we wont be the last, in fact every year since Robert Finch has taken over this team of referee's has got worse and worse and worse

Im loathe to agree with Phil Gould, but its time for him to hand in his keys

Have you forgotten the downtown rule that prevents players in front advancing at all?

Harrigan was just on 2sm and said Inglis was behind kicker so not downtown BS

Downtown works like this I think. A player is offside or out of play if he is in front of the kicker .

If his opponent drops the ball only the kicker or a player behind the kicker can pick it up and both those cannot pass to the offside out of play player .
Technically the offside player can't tackle until the ball has passed previous play the ball . He sure can't score a try . He can resume play at next play the ball .

Well done finch bring in this rule and making it clear so everyone understands it . Sack him now
