I think Matt Gillett would be rookie of the year if he was used right by Henjak.

He could be a devastating lock/backrower, but is spending time in the centres etc. Just Henjaks style.

Another top line talent he has wasted in his 2nd year is Alex Glenn.

I like the first 2 honestly but forwards seem to miss the spoils.

IMO its between Merrin and Gillett,

Gillett cause he is just plain awesome!!!!

and Merrin cause i cant remember a 20yr old front rower in his debut season have such an impact and also be so consistent!

Also I know Maloney played some games last year but so did Idris so does Maloney qualify? If so its hard to argue against him.

big league has its rookie issue, where they have 5 big profiles and list all the others.
from a quick read, their 5 seemed to be hodkinson, gillett, 2 i cannot remember, and fifita.

Meh, gone off Hodkinson, TBH how much does he actually do?

he gets thru a bit of work but i dont think he is that outstanding.

I think Gillett and Merrin have the biggest future out of the bunch we have seen this year

I was actually wrong earlier when I said Sam McKendry was ineligible. According to Big League's Class of 2010 feature any player is eligible as long as they've only played 3 or less first grade games.
