Monaghan was lucky not to be penalised for attacking the man (Flanagan) not the ball off that short kick-off. And besides that, it clearly came off his hand and the refs got that right.

Good result in the end but one of the strangest LO crowds in a long time for me. Really seemed subdued for large parts and it was only in the final 20 minutes that it came to life, odd considering the size of the crowd.

I wondered that too
isnt striking at the ball with the feet a penalty in those circumstances... should have been a penalty try i think

Look closer on a replay and you will see there was no striking motion but Joel tried to put it down and struck the ball against the leg of the Tigers players.

We could debate about the reffs all game though such as Croker and three other Raiders being a few metres offside for the intercept after the Farah break and Maxwell refusing to give penalties for the majority of times we found the Raiders markers out.

But really what is the point. Maxwell is just a rubbish reff and was listed as the pocket reff but controlled the game.

Only thing I'll say for the refs is they were equally bad for both teams. I lost count of the number of times the Raiders were off-side and / or markers weren't square but taking the black and gold glasses off and the same could have been said for the Tigers. In the end a low penalty count is a good thing.

two decisions that annoyed me was firstly the penalty for fensoms 'late hit'. To begin with it barely warrants a penalty but if your going to call one, than call it when it happens not 3 tackles later.

The second was monaghans leap and catch. Monaghan catches it in tigers ingoal, ryan strips it off him and lands in the ingoal. Shouldn't that have been a line-dropout? The decision ending up being a tunover despite ryan obviously being in possession.

I feel sorry for Bronson, you can tell he hates playing against the tigers. Can't wait til 2013 when he comes back.

it certainly was, the 10 was dreadful and the markers on both sides were barely square all game
