Whilst reading this article about Jim Branagan,

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sp...ent-jim-banaghan/story-e6frexnr-1225884951390

I started to think about the 'vehement' denials.

What the hell is wrong with the whistleblower saying 'it was me, I was sick of the rorts going on and wanted it bought out in the open for the good of the game"......or words to that effect.

I don't understand (except a possible cultural dislike for 'dobbing') why this person would not be celebrated and why they would be fearful of outing themself.

Surely there would not be reprisals from anywhere...so why not announce yourself?

It will ruin his bargaining power for his clients at other clubs, and ruin his relationship with the Storm, hence ruining his bargaining ability with 1 of 16 clubs.

Say it was the bloke who has gone off to Nth Melbourne as an example.

Do you think it would be a good career move, owning up to outing them?

Yes, you absolutely announce yourself as a person of integrity in a senior management position, and obvioulsy competent, I think it says alot. Who wouldnt want to be associated with that?

I guess the only reason would be if you were looking to join an organisation that perhaps did not have such high integrity?

How so? I am not sure your comments make sense. Ruining your bargaining ability with 1 club (which is the only one flaunting the salary cap) surely does not damage you in anyway. Wouldnt it improve his standing with the other 15 clubs?
