just getting back to the league format, is there any reason we need to have 40 players?

we start 18 players. do we really need 22 reserves?

couldn't we make it 30 players on the roster? that way there'll be some decent talent on the waiver wire and you'll have to make some hard decisions on who to keep on the bench. with 40 players what you draft is going to be it. don't expect to find any free agents all season.

unless, of course, that's what you were going for ab.

well, with roster limitations its not like you can horde any position, its basically having an exact duplicate of your starting roster + 2.

I kind of like the idea of a smaller bench though.

maybe it all this studying that i'm doing but kurt is making sense.

Id be happy with a reduced roster but some might not be as they are already drafted for a 40 man roster, so i think if a change is made in that respect, it needs to be 100% in favour

exactly, i know i have been coveting RB and WR depth, but im still ok for the change, maybe to 32 though, 30 is really small.

i also think change after the draft has started is not a good idea unless 100% in favour.

i know i would have drafted differently if i knew there were going to be 15 keepers so i can fully understand someone not wanting to reduce the roster size.

tbh I don't like it.

I've been drafting RB depth along with WR and QB's.

I only have 2 defensive players because my strategy was to get the bulk of them later.

With a 30 man roster, i'd already be over 1 RB than I would be able to handle on my roster of which I would have missed out on a suitable WR or defensive player.

I'm not totally in favour of it if i'm honest.
