5pm Grand Final is Back Again!

Got my tickets to the big one yesterday, I looked down and then I remembered...5pm kickoff. This has to be one of the worse ideas in NRL history. One or the other boys 3pm or 7pm. Terrible.

I'm not a fan of the kick off at five. It's either a late lunch or really early dinner.

I'd prefer a three or seven kick off.

Because it is just a really crap time, not night or day. The atmosphere compared to the night GF is not as good. But is saying that if they went back to 3pm that would be ok too.

Exactly. And it gives the TV broadcasters closer to what they want. Good compromise.

If you see that as being the problem then maybe we should start it at 5.30pm then.

Or maybe even 7.30pm at which time most of the games during the season start.

Exactly and given that the graveyard slot for the regular season is 5.30pm, you would think that would tell them something. Even 6pm would be heaps better!

After the BBQ lunch is your guts and you're ready to really hit the sauce hard. Gives you the nostalgia of the old Winfield Cup GF's too.

I love the 5pm kickoff, better than 7.30 at least. I mean Id wish they'd bring back the 3.30 kick off, unfortunately probably wont happen for a while.

The only bad thing about the 5pm kick off is that they got rid of the Sunday alvo finals for weeks 2 & 3 which is ridiculous. They should bring back the Sunday alvo games.

Day games lately have gotten better crowds and atmosphere. Have a look at last weeks game at Gosford, 20,000 packed house, good game too.

And you cant tell me last year's grand final wasn't a good atmosphere, it was unbelievable.
