Losing to Manly?

Losing to Manly won't be the end of the world. Don't get me wrong last thing I want is to lose to those #ankers ( I hate them more if not the same as the dogs).

Losing to them will eliminate a greater threat to Dragons in the finals campaign. Lets face it they are the weakest team in the 8. If they lose the Roosters (Daly M team of the year), Raiders, Warriors or Titans go out? Who would you rather?

No team is a real threat but if there was one it definately would not be Manly. Anyway, trying to find a negative in case the Dragons lose on Sunday. Hopefully they won't but if they do there is 1 small tiny positive. We thought the Saints were a shoe in for the 2005 GF and got beaten by Wests so anything can happen.

The Dogs lost to the Raiders in week 1 a few years ago which ended up knocking out the Saints from the Finals only to end up flogging the other teams the following weeks to make the GF and they won it.

If Saints go out and flog them and cruise through to week 3 it could be more of a burden. Complacency can set in. I am sure Bennett won't let that happen.

S.M., I'm sure there's a happy place you go to sometimes when melancholy starts to creep in. Perhaps this is one of those times and you should go there now.

haha i thought this was going to be an interesting post on who we would play if we lost in Round 1, but realistically we have no idea yet, so there is really no point looking beyond Week 1 =)

And fully agree, Manly are by far the weakest team in the 8, but I said that about Parramatta last year too.. so it really doesnt mean anything if we dont turn up and kick a$$.

The funny thing is that I have been worried about Manly all year. The team to beat imo. But that all changed when we clobbered them not long ago, and their recent injuries and suspensions.

Tough luck for them, they were the real deal for a while there.

The only thing that will beat us on Sunday is complacency. They might be busted, but Manly are still fielding a first grade football team. They'll take the game to us, make no mistake.

But Saints have a super side taking the field, and the best coach in the competition. Teams like that don't get beaten in matches like this.

Take your own advice, he asked a question.

A bit touchy are we, what happened?

Did you have one too many sleep overs at snakes house?
Go f**k yourself, No I'm not touchy at all as Ive posted in other threads from the beginning of season I think the dragons are the best team and should win the comp. But it goes to show you merge fans are the most uptight sorry f**kers in the league. Maybe cause you merkins know deep down you've won f**k all and the tension of wining your first GF is getting a bit to much for you all.

Sorry guys didn't mean to get you all stressed. Saints will kick arse I am sure but if not there is some small positives to come out of the game which is all I meant to say about this thread.

GO SAINTS. FIRE UP.
