Will it be considered a bradbury like some consider the WestsTigers one was in 2005.
Canberra have won 9 from 10,if they win they will have won 12 from their last 13,where as the WestsTigers won 12 of their last 14 including 8 in a row in 2005.
Canberra have beaten team 2 Penrith, the WestsTigers beat the Cowboys(5) twice,Saints(2) and Brisbane(3) in the finals series yet it was called a bradbury
It looks very similar in stats, but I bet it won't get a mention on here,it will be a backs against the wall, best in 20 year win
I personally hope Canberra do win the whole lot if they beat us on friday, what are your thoughts.

if the raiders win, they deserve to be premiers as did the tigers in '05.

cheating aside, every other grand final winner has been a worthy champion.

If they win they will still get f**k all prime time games on the teev. They are too hideous to look at and scare little kids and females.

I don't think it'll be a Bradbury.

I think calling Wests a Bradbury was unfair. You can only play the side that turns up against you on the day. If they don't bring their A-Game that's not your fault.

By that argument, Manly's 2008 premiership is a Bradbury because Melbourne fell over in the Grand Final.

I don't think its a Bradbury.

They are certainly lucky. Playing Penrith with multiple injuries both before and during the game, and then going to play Tigers who are also dealing with multiple injuries.

But no it certainly wont be a Bradbury. If they win it, its because they've played good football for the last 2-3 months and they'd fully deserve it.

But sh*t...some idiots think Penrith's 2003 title was a Bradbury...despite the fact we finished Minor Premiers as well. lol.

'Bradbury', 'Clayton' and 'Choke'. All terms used by idiots who have no understanding or appreciation of the game, or for that matter competitive sport in general.

The Raiders had to win a lot of games to be in a position to play the panthers last week, it didnt just happen. Just like they had to win one more to be in a position to play the tigers this week. They can only play whats in front of them and if they manage to go on and win the comp from 7th position then they fully deserve it.

I feel a bit sorry for tigers supporters when people refer to their premiership as a Bradbury. People call it that because the Eels and Dragons choked (shock horror) so maybe the criticism should be directed towards those teams, not the one who stepped up in their place and played some brilliant finals footy. The Tigers were red hot in that finals series and the games leading up to it and they deserve their premiership just like any other club. If some fans cant handle the fact that their club choked when they should have won, thats their own problem.

Im on the Raiders bandwagon for 2010, go the green machine!

The big difference - they are playing with a good forward pack.

That aside...

I am cheering on the Raiders as my second team in the finals. Both my team, the Roosters, and the Raiders are playing the best brand of footy at the moment, and I would very much like for them to defy the odds, run through the Panthers/Titans and Tigers/Dragons respectively, and meet in a massive clash in the finals. Giant forward packs, star five-eighths in hot streaks of form, imagine the clashes between TLL and Mose Masoe!

Tigers' '05 win was no 'Bradbury' but I think a lot of people will think of the Raiders win as in the same category if they do pull it off.

If the Raiders win they will most likely have to beat each of the top 4 teams to get there. That is a Grand final won on merits like 1989.

The last 2-3 weeks has been the first time I've ever seen a whole lot of non-Raiders fans taking us seriously as a threat on these forums. This thread furthers that mindset. There's been the usual haters, but everyone seems to be acknowledging that we're a scary footy side when we get it right.

And no it won't be a Bradbury. We're not Melbourne.

if they win, it means they deserve it. Why would it be a bradbury?, they still have to win the games.

Exactly right, other teams and their supporters should fear us
