If the Raiders win they will most likely have to beat each of the top 4 teams to get there. That is a Grand final won on merits like 1989.

Exactly. Anyone who beats the teams who finished 2, 3 and 1st to get to the Grand Final is a fair effort.

In saying that, you can only beat who is in front of you. It is like saying Nadal's US Open win was a 'Bradbury' because he didn't play Federer. You can only beat who is ahead of you.

depleted warriors,sharks,knights, lucky against the tigers, injury riddled panthers, those 5 games in a row got them into the finals .

before these games they were scoring less points then the sharks


then they played the dragons , titans who were done due to the harder games before the finals

then the dogs lol, lost after leading at halftime



The eels were good enough to take the advantage at the end were unlucky they played melbourne

If they win it I'd be gutted coz they'd beat us to get there, but definitely no bradbury or fluke. Just similar to a winner in the melbourne cup, its about timing the run to perfection Kiwi's barnstorming win in 83 wasnt a "bradbury" or anything of the kind - the Best Horse got to the line first. Pure & Simple.

And as much as they have had the wood on in recent times. I actually like the Raiders, would be my 2nd team. Ridiculous but true.

If the raiders get up to win the GF it will be a great acheivement just like the tigers team of 05.

I hope we beat Canberra on Friday night but i do rest easy knowing if we do lose it will be Canberra that proceeds and knocks out the saints, I just wanna see thr saints lose again, would love to see the tigers do it again like in 05 but i think Canberra can do the job also.

Hoping for a good game this Friday and may the best team win....

But one fact that many people may not know which i think makes the Tigers 05 win even more impressive is that they did it without One State of Origin Rep for the same year, the only side to do so in the modern era ( SOO era anyway) .

Many of those players including Marshall and Prince were not household names at the start of the year, and as usual we were snubbed by SOO selectors completely.
