Translation: my team lost, I can't handle it, so I'll blame everyone and anything except my own team. Been there, done that. But not tonight!
the rorters f**ked up .. had nothing if refs were fair ..
The legitimacy of the Roosters' first try was a matter of interpretation. The Dragons' first try, on the other hand, was tainted by a blatantly incorrect decision and will go down as one of the biggest refereeing blunders in grand final history. In my opinion it is as egregious as the two 7th tackle tries by Manly in 1978 and Canterbury in 1995.
It's time to take a reality check. The Roosters should have iced the Dragons by the end of the first stanza. Instead of constant bombs the kicking game should have been mixed up, short, long, high, crossfield and grubbers looking for repeat sets and maintaining pressure.
The Dragons showed Easts what they should have done in the first half.
Congrats to the St.George Illawarra club. Quality consistency for two seasons has been rewarded. I can see visions of Wayne Bennett at Mad Monday, handing out loaves and fishes to all the supporters and club associates. He'll probably turn water into wine as well.
lol...delusional much?
well soward didn't attack the ball with his feet, that's why a penalty wasn't given... video ref somehow thought he played at it, it's pretty clear the ball was planted on his leg however, that's been a knock on for as long as I can remember.
you watch it at normal speed again, if anything soward was trying to get under the player to hold him up.
I saw it as a square up.
I have just watched the first 60 mins or so on fox. I am going to have to agree that the Roosters were refereed out of the game, even more so than I though while watching it live.
There were at least 5 occasions where the Roosters had the call go against them, each of which really could have caused a momentum swing. I know, a lot of 'what ifs' but really, if even 50% of these calls/no calls did not occur, the Roosters would have been in a much better position to win the game at the 65 min mark.
- Morris putting foot into touch, Gasiner scoring 3 plays later
- Dragons not square at marker/too deep at marker through the game. Roosters could have gotten at least 3 penalties from this (and probably would have if it was the regular season)
- Soft penalty to Dragons when Weyman got hit high
- Morris passing to Saffy who was offside (albeit there was another one from the Roosters later on)
- Minichello tackled without the ball, ruled scrum to Dragons, should have been a penalty to Roosters
- Perritt penalised for tackling Morris in the air, pity, just prior to that, Hornby ran Perritt off the ball - should of been a penalty and, secondly, Morris dropped the ball before Perritt tackled him
- Perritt gets slight push in back from Morris when contesting a bomb, should have been a penalty (just) and not a goal line drop out to Roosters
- Dean Young scores a BOD try, surely this was a knock on??
At that point, the Roosters were refereed out of the game.
I am not a Roosters fan (I am a Panthers fan) but, honestly, I think the Roosters, with all these ref stuff ups combined, they were denied a fair go at winning the game.

Unfortunately you will be branded a sore loser even though it is justified. Apparently you are not allowed to be a sore loser regardless of how bias the refs are in a game.
2010 NO PREMIERS (except the refs)
If anything wouldn't they be having their money on the Roosters? $2.30 better value then $1.60 the Dragons were paying.I'd like to see an inquiry into the NRL referees as a whole
With this betting scandal nonsense going on it just seems really fishy to me. They have far, far too much influence on the outcome of a game
Oh dear.
They're the premiers, and nothing you can do will change that. Move on and look to 2011 f**kface.
