I heard he had an allergic reaction to the pepper spray and went into anaphylactic shock....

....So even in victory the dragons still found a way to choke

That's f*cking disgraceful mate, someone died, show a little respect.

Channel 9 reported that witnesses have come forward and said that the guy who died wasn't just pepper sprayed but was also tasered twice while hand-cuffed.

If this is true...

f**king tasers. The way they were sold to police is a f**king disgrace. Constantly touted as a non-lethal option, so cops get taser happy. The facts are that it can be pretty f**king lethal, and you can't tell me that there aren't odd individuals in the police force itching for an excuse to use one. Not all cops, or even most cops, but some here and there. The job description can attract a certain type of person.

Wouldn't be the first time a taser has been misused and killed someone. Won't be the last, either.

A man who died after being arrested during NRL grand final celebrations in Sydney had been handcuffed when he was twice hit with a Taser stun gun by police, a witness says.
Police went to the St George Leagues Club at Kogarah, in Sydney's southeast, about 12.20am (AEDT) on Monday after reports of a fight between three men during celebrations for the Dragons' grand final win.
In a statement on Monday police said capsicum spray had been used to subdue a 35-year-old man, who lost consciousness and was taken to hospital, where he later died.
A witness told the Nine Network that police also used a Taser on the man.
"They capsicum sprayed him. From capsicum spraying him, they handcuffed him," said the woman named Kristy.
"They pinned him down to the ground. And then they tasered him. And then from tasering him, they tasered him again."
On ABC Radio the same woman said police had attempted to "restart his heart".
"He had stopped breathing," she said.
Police said the cause of the man's death is not yet known.
However, a Taser was used to subdue another man who was then arrested. A third man was also arrested at the scene and both of them were taken to St George police station.
St George Leagues Club management did not comment on the incident on Monday morning but a staff member said it had otherwise been a trouble free night.
"Absolutely. It was just that one incident," a staff member told AAP.
Police have set up a critical incident team to investigate the incident.
A police spokeswoman would not comment when asked if officers had attempted to revive a man at the scene.
"We can't comment any further because it is a critical incident," she said.
She also refused to comment on whether the man who died had been tasered while in handcuffs.
"We're not commenting on this issue," she said.
"We have put the facts in a media release, and they are the facts as we are stating them."
Police were holding a press conference on the incident with NSW Police Central Metropolitan Region commander, Assistant Commissioner Mark Murdoch, at 1130 AEDT on Monday.

Problem is they dropped the height and weight restrictions for police back in the 80's and now at the slightest sign of trouble they bring out the tasers and capsicum spray. Bring back the 6 foot copper, the F150's and incidents like this won't happen anymore.

for the cops to use sprays and tasers, the bloke couldve been carrying on like an absolute tool.

the death is a sad incident, but every action causes reactions and there are always consequences. in this case, extremely unfortunate ones.

it's easy to blame the coppers when they're doing their job.

It's not OK for Danish to make a joke of this situation, a situation where a pack of idiots started a brawl because they were denied entry into the club, taking out their anger on security guards and police, so violently that the riot squad was called and tasers were required.

but it is OK to wish aids upon him....that makes heaps of sense.

i'll trust the police statement over anonymous AM radio caller thanks.

dickheads start a fight, resist arrest and need to be sprayed and tasered for the police's safety.... and i'm the asshole somehow for not feeling sorry for him
