this will sound callous.... but when i heard it on the news, initially i was sorry for his family. However i think people need to be accountable for themselves when in public. Ive never understood the need for people to get wasted as a way of celebrating. It was a great day for dragons supporters. Why anyone would put themselves in the frame of mind to fight (be it with security or police) is bizarre. Just smile and walk along!
So when the news headlines state it somehow dampens the celebrations, i shrug it off. The rugby league press are their own worst enemy some days lol They love to highlight any and every drama. Then pontificate about how the game is deep trouble due to its public image.
(oh come onnnn give us a hint of what happened hehe Also! Its not trolling lol Its rivalry! If the roosters beat the dragons in their first rematch... you have to be ready to smack us dragons supporters down a few notches lol ill concede one thing. altho i felt we deserved the premiership, watching the replays of morris going into touch does make me cringe lol when i watched it live i was focused on the right foot. on the replay i then noticed his left leg is like.....WAY out lol but overall the refs gave you guys one back later.)
there is rivalry and there is trolling...a fine line between the two. i dont troll
ive been to a few gfs now, that was my tenth but i cant remember the first two, well three if im real honest. ive also been to my share of state of origins in three states and a fair amount of kangaroo kiwi/GB test matches in three countries and that was the worst bunch of opposition supporters i have ever come across be it because of alcohol or whatever. ive never gotten the whole concept of going to a game and getting hammered and believe me, i like a drink with the best of them but there were some pretty pissed folk around us so i can only imagine what it was like at the leagues club and around the area. my dragoon mate was at the leagues club and he was pretty blown away by the whole thing too.
i just think it is a bloody shame that someone died, regardless of anything else. its a human life and for about five minutes he had the euphoria of being a premiership winning supporter, wtf happened from that moment on? Bloody stupid.
at least when your semi human and not trolling, people will have a conversation with you ;-)
just wait for the season opener in the forum sevens lol
