I agree, I think our hooker depth is fine as it is. Of course though, a lot depends on Keating finding form or Mcguire/Mitchell stepping up.

Berrigan played a fair bit in the halves in his day, as well as in the centres too. Plus he is a lot better than Maguire. This is a former Clive Churchill medalist and Aussie rep we're talking about here.

true but he can also play 7 with a fair bit more competence than either robson or mortimer. my only criticism of him as a 7 when he played there for the broncos was that he ran the ball a bit too much.

if we have as much money under the cap as has been reported it wouldn't hurt to sign him and would probably be worth it given there isn't much else around.

when is the last time Berrigan played in the halves? I mean the bloke played hooker in a medocre comp last season, i can only see a benefit as a 9 and we have a sh*t load of them as it is,

no! it still comes under the cap and registered with the NRL, and the NRL wouldn't take too kindly to paying a bloke next year to represent our club the year after.

Currently over 30, coming back from the ESL, most likely a has-been and has played in the halves at times. Fits the clubs selection criteria atm, now he just needs some sort of dramatic off-field incident and he'd be perfect.
