We signed Sam Burgess for just 150k a year.

I keep saying it, our play makers arent the problem. We scored plenty of tries last season, this year we'll score even more. We have plenty of tries in us. Our problem is with defense. That's where Bennett comes in. In 2012 I could see us having both the best attack AND the best defense in the NRL.

Ignorant comment is ignorant. Our attack isn't the problem. We scored a lot of tries last year, we're likely to score even more this year.

Our one glaring problem is defense. Bennett is famous for getting his teams to play great defense. Combining the defense we'd get with Bennett with the attacking firepower we have, we'll be unstoppable.

That's why I think Bennett would be a great fit and Bennett knows he'll be a great fit. One of the reasons I'm confident we'll get him.

Merritt is off contract this year, Boyd could replace him under the cap. Obviously he could get more elsewhere but if he's so attached to playing with Bennett he'll take a bit less to switch to us.

I've also heard the rumour that Talanoa will basically swap with Nightingale if Bennett comes over.

The Dragons defence was already good before Bennett came, he made it even better.
We also used to score points and a lot of them before he came, he didn't care for that.
Problem for Souths is, if you did get Bennett, he would throw your attack out the window and concentrate on defence. You have lazy forwards though who will not do that extra yard.

If I actually said the things you accuse me of, then yes I'd be troll. When the f**k did I say that Boyd and Nightingale are not as good as Wesser, Merritt and Talanoa?

Nightingale would be the perfect winger for us, we have plenty of offensive firepower, his style would balance our team better. And fullback is our biggest whole. Wesser is in his last year and Boyd would be perfect. If Boyd isn't interested in auctioning himself to the highest bidder and his priority is playing with Bennett, I could see him playing for us if we get Bennett.

And I said I think we have the best and most talented team. That DOESN'T mean I think we have the 17 best players in the comp. Of course I think Boyd and Nightingale are better than the players we have coming off contract at their positions.

According to you Souths are paying $500 000 for the two they have and the Saints pair are even better, plus they would have to offer Nightingale extra to leave as he has stated his desire to stay.
