If you're going to include Thompson, may as well include Matt Gillett for the Broncos.
Ferguson, I don't rate.
Will Gillett play there for the whole season or even round 1? Thompson will be our center for the entire season.

Huh? We have about as much depth as any other club in the comp.
I'd go as far to say this pack is our best since 2007.
Starting or off the bench?
2010 Gibbs would make any bench.
Heighnington would make most backrows, and any bench.
And Fifita, Dwyer, Woods and Murdoch-Masila could go any way.
So you picked out one ordinary player and decided the Broncos didn't have depth?Dane Carlaw ≠ depth sorry Pete. Ben Hannant does make you better, but that isn't hard, the pack has been rubbish since Petero left.
That's more than you can say for nearly every Parra forward then...You are right. A lot of CRL clubs would love to have him. He might even get a start.
2010 was easily his best year.Wasted player on the bench but hasn't come on as well as his breakout year.
Are you serious? And that in lies the reason for them not being considered a top pack yet. Too many question marks.

Every pack has young players who could go either way, if anything these group of youngsters are by far the most proven.
I thought I'd give you some perspective if we were throwing around ignorant statements. If you can show me where I talked up Parramatta I'll be more than happy to enter them into the argument.
Not in 2010.Bryce Gibbs gives away penalties and cheap shots and not much else
He's still being touted, heck last year was where he was making the most noise. He did go off the boil in 2009 but 2010 was for mine his best year. For Heighington? Before Ellis arrived he was easily the Tigers best forward. Since Ellis has arrived he has played ok but no where near the way he played when he was touted as an Origin forward.
Dwyer and Fifita have definitely proved themselves in first grade more so than a lot of other club juniors.Dwyer maybe. Woods had a decent beard that made him a standout and hardly played last year. Fifita has some fitness issues but has the makings of a good prop. Murdoch-Masila, potential but hasn't proved anything yet.

Oh how did you know I wanted another ignorant post on your behalf. No worries Pete, have it your way.

Just because I disagree with your point of view doesn't make me ignorant.
If the Tigers had better options, which they could well do we'll see how long he remains as a starter.
The biggest noise about him being in the Origin frame was made by him and telling the NSW selectors he may consider playing for the Poms.
Oh how did you know I wanted another ignorant post on your behalf.![]()
It's not that you disagree it's your reasons for your disagreements.
Well duh, but same could be said of Cronulla with Douglas and Snowden. If they had Scott, Shillington, Civoniceiva and Hannant would they even make the side?
And the slew of media saying he should be on the show and him always being talked up as a bolter by the boys on 9 and FoxSports.
:lol: Classic. If you don't rate the Drongos forward pack you are ignorant. You're priceless young fella.
.
Actually it is more that if your opinion is not the same as Big Pete's you are ignorant.......

It's good to see you're continuing a fine tradition amongst BB fans of lack of perspective or sense of humour.
Colonol - Stats. are down but ask any Tigers fan and they'll tell you how much they valued Gibbs last season and that he cut the crap out of his game.
Sure Tronc will start but there's nothing wrong with a workhorse prop with an offload on him. Definitely not rep. quality, but very solid for us in the NRL.
The rest you listed in Anderson, Kenny and Carlaw won't be in the Broncos starting 17 and are perfectly fine as squad players.
Tronc is rubbish, plain and simple. Phrases like 'workhorse' and 'very solid' are just flowery nonsense to describe a player that would struggle to make first grade at another club. And he's your starter!
