Car parking at ANZ Stadium (Hill St)

I have been going to ANZ Stadium for a few years now. Like most people I like to park where its free and where it gives you a quick getaway from the area.

A while back I found a factory area on HIll St about 100-150 metres from the M4. There was car parking available at the front of the complex and held around 50-60 cars. It was not fenced of and thier was no gates. You just drove in off the road and parked there. Plenty of people took advantage of this. Plus it was just 10 min walk to the stadium.

I was going to the Souths game today and headed for this car park. Only to find that entrance to it was blocked of. Obvioulsy who ever owns it decided they didn't want people parking there. It is there property so I suppose they can do what they want.

I have parked in Carter st before. This road runs parallel to the M4. I drove along there today hoping to find a spare spot. Even though its rather wet in Sydney today the road was full of parked cars. I can only assume there is a few events on today in the area. Except on special occassions there is unlimited time parking there.

Not knowing the area that well I am not aware of any other on-street parking with unlimited timing.

I know there is parking at the stadium. I like to see U-20's so I would be there for a good period of time and the cost of parking could be $20. Plus the hassel of getting out of the carpark after the game.

So if you are like me and have parked in the factory complex on Hill St it appears we can no longer do that.

from what ive heard if you are a rabbitohs or bulldogs member, you can get a parking pass for the whole season for a discounted rate at around $130, which works out at about $10 a game.

Other than that, just park a bit further, and be prepared to walk

I'm with Dimitri. If you're attending most games, stump up for a full season parking pass. Makes it cheaper than paying 20 bucks every week, having to walk ridiculous distances. If you arrive early and park near exit ramps at ANZ, you won't take long to get out at all either.
