Who does the talking on the field?

Big Roy is just too quiet and softly spoken.
I remember watching South Side Story a few years ago & they showed inside the dressing room after the Rorters had beaten us at ANZ in the last game of the season proper. We were now sudden-death going into the finals the following week, & JT had just given Faalongo a gobful for smashing Anasta's face in. He then turned to Roy and asked him did he have anything to say, & he put his head down & barely audibly managed to mumble " guys, we just got to knuckle down & play some footy".
I remember thinking at the time, what?, that's it? Our season is now on the line, & that's the best you've got ??? Come on Roy, FIRE UP FFS !!!
3 years later, & nothing has changed. We need an on field general who talks, barks instructions (remember Tugger Coleman?) & encourages his players, at the moment I don't know who's doing that.

That's all Roy ever has to say, just watch the post match conferences

I believe Sandow and Burgess are pretty vocal, God knows if anyone can understand them though. Crocker is pretty vocal too.

Agreed BranVan, out of everyone Crocker is the one who comes to mind, provided he can remain injury free for the rest of the year. (What are the chances?)

I hear they are all talk on the field, trouble is, they're screaming at each other, if this is true, there needs to be desperate changes in the club and the quicker the better, for the club and it's supporters. I wonder if the club will employ a caretaker coach. You could end up like the Roosters circa 2009.

And if I hear Roy at the after match press conference say " we've just got to learn to play for the whole 80 minutes" 1 more time, I'll kick the T.V in. (The old portable in the bedroom, not the plasma.)

I hear some of your players are talking onfield, problem is they are screaming at each other, it proves passion exists, but this type of passion could be a death knell for your season. If true, someone needs to take strong action immediately. Like Lang but his time could be up. You might just end up like the Roosters, circa 2009.

I had a conversation with Mario Fenech just before christmas & he also said that Roy didn't talk enough & suggested Sam Burgess would make a better Capt as he showed passion when wearing our jersey & was a big talker on the field.
I loved it when he also told me how Tugger & himself wouldn't shut up during games just to remind the blokes of how proud they should be to wear the Red & Green of South Sydney.
It's a different game now but i just hope that our current squad can show some pride in the jersey & do us proud on the field.

No Asotasi isn't a big talker on the field. He doesn't need the captaincy in an ideal world, however no-one really stands out to take the captaincy from him.

If someone was to take the captaincy from Asotasi, Sam Burgess would be my pick.
