Johnny manna 14 minutes
Stu Flanno 20 minutes.
Cordoba 25 minutes

FMD !!!! That is just over half a game shared between 3 players!!!!

Read the stats & you can see why there was nothing in the tank to bring the team home.
Snowy, Toops, Kelly, Smith all missing around 7 tackles each. Our only true 80 minute forward missed 1 tackle.
Then when at the back end of the game its time to bring a game breaker in, like a peach, a frizz or a Vaves, Wonder boy brings on Johhny Manna for his weekly 5 minutes.

Pretty standard bench minutes.

Seu Seu was getting 5 to 7 minutes at Manly before he took a whizz.

Bennett sometimes only uses 2 0r 3 players off the bench.

Hasler and Bennett aren't good coaches?

John Mannah was badly exposed for one of Newcastle's tries.

He really has to work on his reads.

its f**king ridiculous isnt it.

the team we play have a decent coach. but buy wayne bennett.

our coach dosnt know how to use the bench effectively.

cant be hard.

Gal and the hooker for 80
the rest a fairer share.

all players bar gallen need to lift their game in the ripping in department.

f**k this season

When John Morris gets back, its time to cut the interchange hooker and bring in a genuine impact player.
Maybe even look at Trent Grubb to start and Toops on the bench.
Im over Brod Wright, he can leave.
Run a Bench of Cordoba Mannah and Vave/Clayton with Toops.

seu seu is a reserve hooker with Ballin in the team. he played SOO last year

Mannah..at prop. is wasted on low minutes

why select him if he plays so little time?

maybe we should start some of the benchies (Cordoba, Wright) and have the starters off the bench.

whatever is happening ATM it isnt working.

Tupou had a fair chunk of time on the bench yesterday with a bung knee.
Snowden played 36 minutes straight in the 1st half.
Mannah played more this week than last week.

There seems to be no plan with the bench. It changes every week. I mean, Snowy has played 12 minutes before being hooked in one game, then plays 36 yesterday?

Poor use of the bench isn't what lost us the game though.

well, the reasons we are losing are

A. the coach dosnt use the bench properly and the players are fatigued. they may also be unfit
B. how they are fatigued is a mystery, as gallen puts in 20 percent more than everyone else. lack of work being done by a few guys here.
C. unfortunately Gal is getting in the way of attacks down the left. but this is a symptom of him having to do everything.
D. then when we get down there graham and kelly cant organise well enough to take advantage and tactical kicking is non existant.

thats just with the ball.

also when we drop it and give away pens (rd 1, 2nd half round 4,5) then we cant win either.

Fuggen schoolboy arm grabs & players who should but have NFI on how to read in defense with a 6 foot 8 halfback who can't kick to save himself, a useless pair of pretend hookers, our hardest working player over playin his hand in the backs, poor attitude & poor options make for a team who is coached by a rookie goin nowhere fast.

What happened after round 3?

round 3 was false.

as was round 1 vs the raiders. the raiders looked brilliant because we were SO bad.

after that they have sucked balls.

Round 3 we looked great. but Pennys were So bad that it was false form.

Round 2 we all had a dig, played tough and ground out a victory. we need to go back to that kind of performance

Good question, what happened to the round 2 attitude?

It's interesting this thread is about fatigue. We have not performed well in the day games at all as they have all been warm. I think (hope) when it cools down a bit more, we will go a bit better. That is the risk with a forward dominated team. I was hoping it would stay overcast yesterday but came out quite warm & humid, which didn't help our cause. Still shouldve won though.

When we do that, everyone complains we are boring and cant score points.
I would rather 12-10 wins than 24-20 losses.
Just my opinion though.

Do we still have our ridiculously long warm up session pre game?

I remember being at the Broncos game last year and our boys warmed up in the sun for what seemed like more than half an hour in the heat and humidity.

No it was a Ricky Stuart brainwave.

Wish they would put "The games best thinker." title next to his regular newspaper article each Sunday.

It was a great laugh on a Sunday morning.
