on paper they would not be even close to the worst bunnies team several internationals. The results may not match the ability of the team.
But there is no way they would be the worst team to pull on a bunnies jerset

Newcastle Rabbit said,

"What the faaaaaaaaaaaark are you on? Of course we had a team in 2001."

Boy you have egg on your face....

I can't believe a supporter doesn't know such obvious information about its own club.

I couldn't get the final NRL ladder for 2001 to paste in here properly to show you but, Can you please tell me where the rabbits finished on the table?

thanks.

I don't even follow your team and even i know that you had a team in the mid 90s but not in 2001..[/QUOT

Of course we had a team in 2001.

That was a pretty good team. Didn't.......go close to top try scorer that year? And.........got you out of trouble on a few occasions. You had a few good uns in 01. Do you reckon it was better than your 2002 team? You know the year you were, um, you know.....re admitted?

Well it must have been a sad day for the St George District Junior Rugby League Football Club supporters when you had to concede that you were broke & had to crawl up the clacker of the Illawarra District Junior Rugby League Football Club just to survive.
I think it's fair to say that it's just Illawarra in St George socks.
Yes Souths might have spent those years fighting for survival but at least we stayed true to ourselves & our supporters by refusing to bow to the demands of Murdoch & News LTD.
So when all is said & done the South Sydney District Rugby League Football Club has survived more shit than what anyone like you can throw at us & are still here when individuals from your club like Brian Johnstone & Peter Doust failed to keep us out.
It's bloke like you Johnstone & Doust that are a disgrace to the genuine St George Illawarra supporters so enjoy your clubs maiden premiership & for the record it will take another 19 of those to catch up to us.

Boo boo we all know your hatred for mergers, especially ours, its getting old. We had no players, they had no money, so we crawled to them did we? *sigh*
So you didnt bow before the demands of Murdoch and News LTD, good on you. So how does it feel bowing to the demands of another egotistical millionaire that OWNS you? The majority of your fans gave control to Crowe for SURVIVAL. You were going no where and the game was passing you by. Now you can compete, at least financially, with the big boys.
The working class foundations of your club such as hard work, grit, mate-ship and never giving up has been replaced by celebrity snap shots, talk show appearances and ego. We did what we had to do to remain competitive, as did you. You just went about it a different way.
BTW sixteen and counting....

Yes i agree that the game has changed but the basic characteristics of what are associated with the game of rugby league such as mateship, comraderie & working class ethics are still a part of what the game is all about.
A few years ago i did a First Aid course & Ian W

Yeah,do I stutter?

Your elocution skills are not being questioned..

Your knowledge of your own club is, however..

So, tell me, where did souths finish on the nrl ladder in 2001?

Did you come close to making the finals?
