That's why Kev would partner Wes on the right hand side, he'll help him out.

why does that put Kev or Likiliki behind Lulia?

do we reward those that are playing the best in the lower grades, or those with the biggest hype and yet zero delivery thus far?

I think JD means if Sau is out and we have to promote another reggie. Not taking Lulia's place, simply moving him into the centres if Sau is out and putting Kev on the wing.

ah, i see. my mistake. i just think Lulia well and truly deserves his shot this year. i'm interested to see if what i saw early in the season was a fluke.

no, i think Lulia is genuinely ahead of him at the moment. it's not impossible, but i don't believe Stone has promoted anyone that hasn't shown form in the lower grades (or trials), yet. it would be a pure speculation - see what he can do - type selection if it did happen. the truth is Likiliki hasn't shown much since he got here. if Lulia carried his trial form into the season proper then he would be streets ahead of Likiliki in the pecking order. he was very noticably better on both sides of the ball.

I meant Liki come in to replace Sau if he's out. Lulia already has a spot. I'd say Mad Dog may make a come back, if not I think it'll be Likiliki or Kev. Neither have been good in NSW Cup, but I don't think Liki has been as poor as Kev (I've only seen a few games though so I can't tell for sure).

yep, my bad. i have no idea who comes after Lulia... none of them are setting the world on fire from reports.

Filipo is a decent possibility to come from the bench into the centres, i guess - hence the 5 man bench.

Stone seems to only like promoting rookies when they are in good form, so I'm really struggling to see who will come in if both Sau and Mad Dog are still out. Maybe you're right with Filipo.

Kaufusi is there to cover Sau in the centres. After his 2nd or 3rd run for the game he'll be able to switch with McManus and move to the wing for a breather.

pretty sure it would be lulia to centre, dunno who to wing tho, wes might get kev over the line, but doesn't sound to crash hot.

also loving the kaufusi dropped to 18th man, only if he could get dropped completey off the team sheet.

unfortunate for roberts, first half looked really good, finally got a decent halves backup.

Round 11 preview with Rick Stone

In summary:

- Really impressed with Roberts, has shown he is truely up to first grade
- Wouldn't be surprised if Roberts plays a part in the team on Sunday (Serc comment - kinda hope he doesn't because we need some halves in NYC!)
- Henry is getting full clearance Wed or Thurs, make final decision on Friday.
- Henry trained strongly on Mon and Tues
- De Gois should be right, as he was very close last week, 90% chance at this point.
- De Gois has done a few sessions of full contact
- Lulia deserves his selection through his form in NSW Cup in recent weeks
- McDonnell seeing specialist in Sydney on Wed, has had MRI, which showed some sort of cartilage tear in shoulder
- Sau got his scans done on Tues
- Confident both McDonnell and Sau will play, but will make final decision on Friday

what exactly has Lulia done wrong for everyone to hypothesize any conceivable scenario to not have him play? one of our most solid depth players, imo... and was on fire in the trials. deserves his spot this week imo.

I am happy to see him play this week, but imo he has been consistantly shit since we got him. Had a few decent defencive games in the centres but never offered anything in attack. On the wing he has been nothing but crap in attack and D every time.

I didn't see the trial performances that you keep raving about, but i believe you and if he did so well and has been in form i think he deserves a shot. He has had plenty of chances though so i am not holding my breath. Fingers crossed he kills it.

Was just thinking Tyrone Roberts reminds me of Ben Roberts, whom I've always said would make a decent centre, reckon Roberts would have been decent in that role if he'd gotten a crack.

What?

Aside from the last name they have pretty much nothing in common that I have ever seen, well aside from them both having played 5/8

Baron, I think you should do Tyrone a huge favour and never compare him to Ben Rogers again. Thanks :)
