Year after year they talk the talk how they'll physicaly bash QLD in defence.

Watch old Origins with Harrigan. Carrol. Sironin. Etc etc etc. Sorry, but the current Blues players are soft.

They only saving grace for them is that QLD never got out of 2nd gear and should've smashed them by 20.

The fired up when it was too late...in the 81st minute when the game was over.
They tried the biff and intimidation last yr in game 2....they got smashed.

Need more niggle.

Gallen can't be captain as it takes away from his grub work.

Bird is busy trying to milk penalties when he should be issuing face massages

QLD went thru a bad period when Wally left in 1991. Lost 1992/3/4

You can basically include 96 and 97 too.

Heck we couldn't even win the Super League Origin.

But we won 1995 to end a 3 yr drought and yes...1996/7 was bad...but when the NRL came back together the Maroons won against a very classy blues team in 1998.
This is looking like 6 yrs and thats crazy

Of course although 95 (and 97) were two very bizarre years for Origin.

I love the 98 series - was the perfect combination of the past present and future, especially for Qld.

I went to game 1 1998 and to see Tunsa score the winning try and Lockyer convert for the win....best origin game/atmosphere i have seen

Well they dropped Watmong, and he had earned a spot. Probably the one player over the past few years who did really fkin sting come origin.

Game seems to have changed a bit, everyone is 100kgs and fit as and works hard, havent really seen a side bashed in defence for a long time, plus all the grappling and shit. You can keep em out and wear em down but its hard to hurt them.

And yeah you'er right, not everyone seems to mentino it but QLD were clearly in 2nd gear defending a slender lead most of the match. If we were a genuine attacking threat we would've eaten that up for breakfast.

"Fire" is over rated. Its still a football game. Skill wins.

That said, they keep picking dud forwards. Wotmong, TLL, there are some good ones going around..

Watmough and Hayne were two of the only players over the last couple of years who actually looked like they belonged on the same field as Qld. And they dropped them both.

Did you see Matt Scott? He probably ate all the NSW's players testicals before the match. I swear I saw him still chewing as he went onto the field.

Greg bird phiscally bashed Corey 'porker' in the 81st minute, great to see!

Was good for international relations, showing that even in the 81st minute, both teams where ready to biff on.

Corey Parkers excuse was poor though, so there was a bit of heated exchange in the last tackle. He had about fifty air swings, needs to do more practice on the speed ball.

Still good to see and good to see Archer can make a good decision by leaving it!

One of our true hard hitters, Luke O'Donnell, is overseas. He'd walk into the current team.

Can't stand him but ya gotta respect those cannons (no homo)
