We will need to win 8 of our remaining 12 games.

In my opinion a team will need to have at least 28 points to make the playoffs this season. Presently, after 13 rounds we have 10 points from 4 wins and a bye.

Next week we have the bye which will take us to 12 points. Then we have 12 rounds to finish the regualr season. Of the remaing games we have 6 at home, though one of those will be played in Perth in R.16.

In the first half of the season we had a succes rate of just 33 percent. For us to make the playoffs we will need to double our success rate in the second half of the season.

It's big task, certainly not impossible but are we up to it? Current form says no but the team is capable of truning it around.

Inglis is back, Lowe won't be out for much longer. If we're lucky Asotasi will make it back for the last few weeks.

It certainly isn't impossible.

We've got our attitude and our defense right which was our biggest problem at the start of the year. If we keep that up the wins will start coming.

I think its dangerous to even think about those numbers. As far as South Sydney is concerned they should win all of there ganes...no point hoping like last year that somebody will stuff up...just get out there and play solid football

Mathematically yes we can make it by winning our last 9 games or 9 of our last 12 games. However we still need to get over the origin period and we should have Inglis and Taylor missing for at least one game and backing up for 2 others.
I am feeling pessimistic at the moment , as i have seen the team , particularly the forwards play their guts out in the last three games and we have not been able to get the win.So i do not see any improvement in the forwards until possible the end of the year , when Roy and Sam may be available.
I am now convinced the team has the heart , however not the BRAINS , to win these close games . We have lost 6 games this year that could have been won with a "smarter" half.
