Ok so it was this time last year that the WC kicked off, man I miss it.

Anyway, I'm hoping the Copa America will stop me going completely insane during two otherwise football-less months. Here are the fixtures, beginning 2nd July:

Group A
Group B
Group C

Argentina v Bolivia
Colombia v Costa Rica
Brazil v Venezuela
Paraguay v Ecuador

Uruguay v Peru
Chile v Mexico

Argentina v Colombia
Bolivia v Costa Rica
Peru v Mexico
Uruguay v Chile

Brazil v Paraguay
Venezuela v Ecuador

Colombia v Bolivia
Argentina v Costa Rica
Chile v Peru
Uruguay v Mexico

Paraguay v Venezuela
Brazil v Ecuador

Argentina, Colombia
Chile, Mexico
Brazil, Paraguay are my tips for the top two in each group.

Curious about what the "Colombia connection" from Porto is going to do at this tournament...

most of the mexican team is playing in the gold cup back in the states, where they have scored 14 goals and only let 1 in through 3 games i believe

5-0 v Cuba
5-0 v El Salvador
4-1 v Costa Rica

Impressive opposition and their match against either Guatemala or Canada should be epic

lol if Bolivia can hold on to this 1-0 lead (via a banega own goal)
they've got 10 behind the ball just hitting it up hoping to moreno their lone striker, nearly got a second too with a 1 on 1 against the keeper but f**ked it

And he scores
1-1

Game ends 1-1
Good start for Bolivia to get a point, bad start for Argentina
Messi needs to step up at international level...still the rest of the tournament left to do so I guess

The Bolivia goal was the most pathetic goal I've ever seen at international level, I mean that's school boy stuff.

As usual everyone is dumping on Messi but c'mon look at the rubbish in the Argentine team

Romero; Zanetti, Burdisso, Gabriel Milito, Rojo; Cambiasso, Banega, Mascherano; Lavezzi, Tevez, Messi

That's f**king rubbish. Their defence is non existant and their midfield is garbage. They don't have the ability to control the ball, they don't have the ability to keep teams out at the back so they're basically sending out a team hoping for Tevez or Messi to shine. The only good quality players in their squad: Messi, Tevez, Higuain, Diego Milito, Aguero and Lavezzi are ALL strikers. They should still be defeating Bolivia though but people need to calm down about Messi at international level when his country just flat out sucks.

Hey Mascherano is quality.

But I agree, Argentina hasn't had a good group of midfielders since the mid-90s (Redondo, Simeone, etc).

Been a long time since they've had a decent number 10
