Ok so it was this time last year that the WC kicked off, man I miss it.

Anyway, I'm hoping the Copa America will stop me going completely insane during two otherwise football-less months. Here are the fixtures, beginning 2nd July:

good point, just saw the 26 man prelim squad, almost all domestic players. But 3rd place could be enough still, you would think they can still finish higher than Peru...

Did anyone see the USA v Mexico highlights? Amazing game, the US went 2-0, then Mexico came back and scored 4! Maybe we should completely write the Mexicans off just yet....

As usual everyone is dumping on Messi but c'mon look at the rubbish in the Argentine team

That's f**king rubbish. Their defence is non existant and their midfield is garbage. They don't have the ability to control the ball, they don't have the ability to keep teams out at the back so they're basically sending out a team hoping for Tevez or Messi to shine. The only good quality players in their squad: Messi, Tevez, Higuain, Diego Milito, Aguero and Lavezzi are ALL strikers. They should still be defeating Bolivia though but people need to calm down about Messi at international level when his country just flat out sucks.

But I agree, Argentina hasn't had a good group of midfielders since the mid-90s (Redondo, Simeone, etc).
