Brookvale upgrade

Looks like a Redfern upgrade, perhaps they are planning on leaving the ground? You wouldnt do that if you expect to stay in first grade at the location. Hills are ok, but adding more to them is a bit stupid, the general suburban upgrade is better stand whilst leaving a bit of standing room, not turning it into a community facility ala this.

So maybe they've made a decision as to where their future lies?

There isn't any. Side streets are also pretty narrow so I'd imagine they'd be parking free zones if/when an NRL game is played there.

Away fans could still get their parking fines, they'd just be for parking on Raglan Street, Manly instead fo Pine Street, Brookvale. Both are very narrow streets located on the northern side of the respective grounds. Parking at both grounds is terrible but both have schools nearby that do/could make a few bucks by opening the grounds up for parking. Manly is far better for public transport though, plenty of buses go to Manly and it's only a few minutes walk from the wharf. Manly council would see value in upgrading the ground due to the money it could bring to the local businesses. One drawback could be the fact that Manly oval is currently used for both rugby union and cricket. Being a cricket ground it could be forced to have a greater distance between fans and the game. I reckon they should just boot the Manly cricket club out because realistically there isn't much money in club cricket, they could always move to Brookvale oval with the Rats. Manly Oval was actually the prefered home ground back in the '40s but they didn't want to affect the rugby club because it was seen as more valuable, how times change. If they could get rid of the tennis courts and put stands on both sides it could potentially be viable but it would be a lot of work to prepare the ground for the NRL.

This Was a Proposal Put Forward by a Third Party for The Council, it Has Nothing to do with Manly............in Saying That i Hope The Sea Eagles let Council Know That this is not good enough and if they go ahead with it......... SFS or Manly Oval Here we Come

Looking at that graphic again, it seems the designers think the Sea Eagles will be getting crowds of around 500 people...

Its getting to the point where Manly will have to do something - relocate, find a new ground or get some political muscles and effect change.

Which green toss pot came up with that. A step backwards when they should be bringing it into the 21st century with more seats. Also were would the corporate boxes, stands are about the size of my shed.

What will Hasler think?

It looks like they've knocked down the Jane try stand. I do like the idea of covering the hill but it would be tricky engineering wise with some of the winds at brookvale.

That stadium design is bloody terrible. Making MORE hills and LESS capacity is the exact f**ken opposite of where our stadiums should be headed. FMD. Brookvale isn't NRL standard now, and this "new plan" is even worse than what they have now.

If I ran the NRL I'd tell Manly they have 3 years to make a 25k capacity stadium or I'd force them to play at SFS after those 3 years until they got a 21st century stadium.

Is there ONE single post you've made anywhere that could be deemed even remotely relevant?

Teenage girls who support a team with so much money they could buy out the catholic church but are STILL utter shit should worry about their own backyard.

Manly would beat your team of halfwitted overpaid tools playing out the back of a Westfield carpark. Surely its time for your afternoon nap?

You'll notice the threads start to go to shit after about 12 each day at the moment. Uni hols, so getting out of bed around 11'ish I'd say and then the trolling starts. A nice overdose of sleeping pills is badly needed.
