MARK Gasnier will announce at noon his retirement from rugby league at the end of this season.

Having returned to the game and his beloved St George Illawarra Dragons midway through last year from French rugby club Stade Francais, the 29-year-old centre has decided this year will be his last.

Gasnier has been toying with the idea of retirement since the start of this season and even moreso since the Dragons’ secured their first premiership in 31 years last October.

He will front a press conference with Dragons chief executive Peter Doust at Kogarah Oval at noon today.
