Well that settles it. I'm glad Steve Georgallis didn't get given a chance next season. Selecting Purtell ahead of Vai Vai and Walker, and dropping Seluini at random... He's not much different to Elliott. While its good to see Walker and Seijka get a run, there are better/safer alternatives.

Can Prince Harry tackle? If not that's gotta be one of the weakest defensive half combinations in the comp, and could be why an extra forward is being preferred on the bench to Seluini who is also a very small player. Harry, Walsh and Nafe would give the Cows 3 very attractive targets in the defensive line.

They would have to target the halves. That will be a pretty big hole to miss. Will be interesting to see the stats after the game of how many tackles the halves had to endure.

If the team have to give an extra hand to the halves to tackle, that will be a breaker.

He will pass the ball and early. Just not sure about his all round game yet. Imo Austin is the better atm. Although he's a running 5/8 much like Lewis. I think Austin will get the 11 in 1st grade next year

I am thinking the same. Does anyone think we are better off then this time last year or the year before?? Strange selections, players going late in the year with no replacements in sight.

I can't see next year improving sadly. Gould has just proved himself to be full of hot air & not much difference so far. Hopefully he proves himself shortly

It's off field I am annoyed. We have slow outside backs (besides Jennings), no 5/8th, Very predictable basic backrowers.

None of these have been fixed. Newcastle within days of the new regime strengthened the squad. Arguements can be made the Sharks will be stronger even allowing for Douglas, Snowden leaving. Last place Titans have improved their roster.

Only the Tigers in the 8 currently don't look stronger for 2012. Other then mid-season transfers can anyone remember as making signings prior to round 20?

Or not losing 3-4 decent 1st graders??

Yep. No Coote to help playmake. If Lewis doesn't play we have a 1st gamer and a halfback carrying 3 or 4 injuries to create stuff. Hell I could of handled Masada on the bench someone to offer something.

We are struggling financially, he said it would be a tough 18 months so im inclined to give him the benefit. His first priority was dealing with the coaching situation which had to be done first.

We do not have slow outside backs, Jennings, Gordon and Tighe are all very fast. We have signed Vai Vai which also strengthens our backs.

So that's why I was annoyed with the coaching saga dragging on so long. If gave us no one to buy.

Gould bangs on about the AFL. Simple make a team that wins and memberships, attendance, merchandise will all soar.

I will be there again but I am stupid and go no matter how poor we are. How many others will do the same. I sit opposite the blackhole and the last 2 weeks the 'soldout' blackhole as been 1/2 full. How many buggered off because of the rubbish??

The fact is Gould has limited experience in Administration. The board is full of ex coppers, players and people with no experience in running more than a chook raffle (Hopefully that changes after the elections). So it's not like he has people in the know to lean on.

IMO it will be 2013 or 2014 before we are in the top 8 teams.
