Can't say I agree with you there, I don't think Gould is quite what he portrays himself to be which was the main reason he gave up coaching. Gould's problems aren't exactly a secret any more.

Can't say I agree with you there, I don't think Gould is quite what he portrays himself to be which was the main reason he gave up coaching. Gould's problems aren't exactly a secret any more.

I think you'll find the reason he gave up coaching is because he earns far more money doing a lot less work with his media deals with both Channel 9 and Fairfax.

I rate him. I've learnt more about rugby league from him than anyone else. He was the only commentator for a long time that told the fans anything about the game while Rabs and the rest of them just went on about big hits and falcons and other obvious bullshit.

I just can't stand when Gould commentates on the Roosters, though he has been getting better as his contact with the club has diminished.

I guess next year I can start hating listening to him commentate on the Panthers.

Gould makes up so much shit as "tactics" or "players intentions" only to be shown up by replays that I am now convinced the director does it to him on purpose to watch his reactions. Just because he bangs on regardless and tries to convince the audience their own eyes are deceiving them doesn't make it any more believable, he's f**king hilarious and it has become a standing joke. :lol::lol:

Even freeing up $250k is still $250k free. Better than having one too many front-rowers in your squad and not enough cap space to buy a plyer you do need.
