Hopefully next year IMO

11 Hindmarsh
12 Benny
13 Matuia

14 Brien
15 OHanlan
16 Allgood
17 Poore

I think with Benny, Hindy and Matuia in the backrow Lasalo and Horo will spend most of their time in Wenty and I would be playing OHanlan and Brien off the bench.

The reason I would chose those two over Horo and Lasalo is that firstly Brien can play the utility type role, he can be tossed into the centres or wing maybe even 5-8 or hooker for a short period if required. Also with all 3 backrower capable of 80 even 90 min so realistically who ever is in 14 and 15 wont see much minutes anyway and we may as well continue introducing quality Jnrs to the grade rather then using Lasalo and Horo for 20-30min bursts.

Shakelton, Lasalo and Horo will end up being very good depth players next year and can pressure the above forwards but with Allgood stepping up and OHanlan and Brien in your jnr ranks I think its the right environment to bring them through.

I didnt see anything in Brien last night or all season for that matter for him to getting a spot of Justin Horo..

Fair enough call, at 19 years old and 30min of footy on the wing I can understand why. I can't say I've watched him a lot in NYC but when I have seen him he looks to have great centre of gravity while running the ball (means he wont get dominated), has a better tackling technique and has a very good work ethic. Brien also has great utility value but I am more so looking at the time he will play, the second backrower at time this year has played 10-15 min a game and realistically what is the point of playing Horo for that time. I personally would much prefer giving it to a young prospect and enhancing their development, Gillett was brought through much the same way last year and has now dislodged Te'o who was one of brisbanes best last year.

Para Guru - that is the best photo EVER!!! Got to be put up there with the famous Hages pic?!

Truly, Lasalo was diabolical last night. I was down on him early in the year, tried to support him and he even came good there for a while though the middle part of the year, but last night he showed his true colours. Just not up to NRL.

If he is picked in the team this week, SK is kidding himself as a coach. Same goes for McGuire.

2 Hit-ups and 10 missed tackles for this bloke last night according to NRL.com, absolutely woeful.

I'm so thrilled that people have finally seen the light on this reserve grader.
Mark Warren was right. "Wenty Magpies very own: Taniela Lasalo".
